Great! Did what I wanted and then some. I wasn't exactly clear about the pricing, though fair, as it varies with types of services performed and who they need to send for handyman work. I guess time went over what was originally estimated, and I got a small bill for a remainder.

We had DMPM paint the exterior of our house and replace the front gutter. They did a great job cleaning and prepping and then painting. There was some miscommunication about what color we wanted the pillars, but they repainted them without question. We are very pleased with how everything looks.

DMPM is my go to company for repairs large and small at my rental. They are responsive and get the work done on time as agreed. They have been great to work with on large and small repairs. In addition to the most recent minor repair, they did major overhaul of the property when we originally prepared to rent it. They painted inside and out, fixed molding, stair rails, and issues on my porch, in addition to some minor landscaping. It was helpful to have folks experienced with rental properties advise me on the work to do to convert my home to a rental.

My insurance covered most of the cost. All the people that work for them are terrific. They are considerate. I can conduct my life with the least amount of destruction. They will handle like severe damages. Their skills are excellent and they really want their customer to be happy.

I was impressed by their response and high quality of work. I will use them again for any needs relating to their services. They underestimated the amount of effort for the roof maintenance and ended up taking it on their end. The quality of work was very good.

The company sent someone out a few days prior to the job to see what it would involve. The morning of the job the foreman showed up 15 min. late to get the crew of two people started, they showed up a half hour later. When they were all here the crew only had one 5 foot ladder. They asked if they could use my ladders 16 foot and 24 foot. while these two were doing the work a third person showed up about 2 hours into the job. The third person stood around most of the time while the others worked. The job took 4 hours, during that time they left to go to get their supplies for about half hour. They did a good job of clean up and the workmanship was good.
When we got the bill we felt that we were over charged for the job, because there were only two people performing the work. The third person showed up two hours into the job. This person had completed a job in another part of town and was told to go to our location. While he stood an watched for the rest of the job, we were charged for two hours of his labor. When the bill arrived it detailed items used as if they purchased them however, we had supplied them along with the extra labor. When we wrote a letter complaining to the company the response included a receipt from Home Depot. It clearly noted that a hammer tacker was purchased for the company's business use and that we were not charged for this item. However, adding up the details we were charged for the $20 tool that they didn't leave behind. The response also included a refund of $49.82 for one hour of the extra persons labor.
Unfortunately this experience leads me to not hire them again in the future. If you can't trust them you can't hire them.

Response from Don Martin Property Maintenance & General Contract
"Don Martin Property Maintenance and GC, LLC regrets that our client that we have had a relationship with since 2009 and have done 5 jobs for is suddenly unhappy with our business. We take pride in our workmanship and our customer relationships. As the client mentioned, they do have any issues with our quality or workmanship. The issue at hand is in the billing/using clients ladders. As mentioned, we have worked for the customer 4 times prior to this job and have in the past used their ladders as a matter of convenience. We had a ladder five minutes away. We also did not charge the client for the full time that our workers were on site - only the hours that they TRULY were working and we did charge them a reduced hourly rate due to the past business relationship. Efforts were made to make the situation "right" with the client but unfortunately the client was not satisified with those efforts. DMPM workmanship continues to be outstanding and client relationships will always be the highest on the priority list. We look forward to an opportunity to show our skills/quality and hope that one day we get the opportunity to work with this client again to "make things right""
