Clearwater Exteriors

Clearwater exteriors recently put a new roof on our house in Portland, OR.  We have a two story old house with a detached garage and they completed the project in the span of 4 days.  Initial contact with the company was targeted door to door solicitation to see if we would like to take advantage of a promotion that was available for new roofing customers.  This initial solicitation took very little time and was just for a consultant to call us to schedule an inspection and estimate on the roofing job.  We had collected estimates from a few other company’s prior to our visit with the Clearwater consultant.  This initial inspection and estimate process is very thorough, and the consultant has samples of all the materials, before and after pictures of other projects, and is very professionally presented.  They have a relationship with a bank, so financing is available.  The materials are of very high quality and provided with a 50 year manufacturer’s warranty.  

The installation process begins with a contact person who is very helpful and provides you a time frame for installation based on weather.  In our case we were scheduled for one day, but the weather did not work out and it was postponed.  The communication was very good during that process and up to the installation date.  This was important to us because we have dogs, and making arrangements for them was understood by the company.  Once installation started, we had some contact with the job foreman, but the company doing the work on the roof was definitely a 2nd party contracted by Clearwater.   The communication during this process was a little less thorough.   We had one day that we had previously been informed they would finish up and they did not.  They came the next day, which we anticipated, but did not communicate that with us.  Following installation there were a few aesthetic details that needed to be followed up on. They resolved these issues to our satisfaction in a timely fashion. Overall installation was done well.  Communication could have been a little better in final stages.

Overall we feel we have a quality product, with a 50 year transferrable warranty, with adequate workmanship on the project.  The roof is a very important aspect to our house in wet climate we live in and we feel confident about our new roof.  

They were great and everything happened just as I was told it would. The crew was on time and worked quickly to remove three layers of shingles then replaced all the damaged wood before replacing the roof. They only took two days and did a superb job with the roof and with the clean up. It a was a bit more than I was going to pay for a roof but they have an excellent warranty which is why I decided to go ahead with it. Now I have the best looking roof in the neighborhood.

Wonderfully. Installers were knowledgeable and expedient. They cleaned the work area and left it better than they found it. Excellent work.

The project went great. We were aware that our roof was nearing the end of its life when we bought our home three years and wanted to replace it with one we wouldn't have to worry about again. The roofing system that Clearwater installed gives us that piece of mind as it carries a fifty year warranty. The crew that did the work was great. They were respectful of our home and family. The project was completed ahead of schedule and looks wonderful.

Chris and Jon are excellent salespeople. After spending several hours together, we felt confident that the Owens Corning system was the best solution for us. We also felt a kinship with these two young men, like they were family. Even our dog wanted to sit on their laps and issue doggie kisses! Who would have thought that a new roof could foster such warm feelings!

That same caliber of person and pride in the company was evident in every aspect of the job--from materials delivery, to the installers, and the clean up crew. They had to scrape off the old roofing material, creating piles of debris that were carefully hauled across the roof and into a dump truck at the front of the house. Very little debris fell onto our plants and yard area. I was afraid that some of our landscaping might be damaged. Not so! When the job was done, everything remained in pristine condition.

The greatest reward, however, is our beautiful roof and peace of mind, knowing that we'll never have to do one more thing to make it look good. It's already perfect!                                                                                                                                                                                                                               

Once financing went through the supplies were delivered and two days later the crew was here and had the roof done in a day with the second day clean-up.  There was no mess to clean up and all our neighbors commented on the beauty and apparent care that went into installation.   The two men that came for our consultation prior to installation, one of them Jon Carter, were awesome and extremely professional but real and friendly.  It was a great experience and the monthly payment for the financing of this project is reasonable.  They worked with us and our budget.   The only down side is the roof is so beautiful that we now need to paint our house to match.   I would highly recommend this company and the Owens Corning roofing materials are amazing and their installation makes sense and is guaranteed.   Beautiful Job!

I would recommend Clearwater Exteriors from the sales rep to the window crew they were all very helpful and answered all our questions. The quality of the product to the install were all great. The crew did a great job cleaning up.  My wife and I both love the new look of the windows.

This experience was great from beginning to end. Very professional and courteous of the fact that I still need to live in my home while it's being worked on. From sales staff, to financing and install, Clearwater was kind and responsive and never balked at answering any questions or concerns that we had.

Clearwater Exteriors set up an appointment in our home to show us their product. Their presentation was very complete and informative, and easy to understand. They made sure we had all the information we needed to made an informed decision. The two young men who did the presentation were very professional and worked diligently to provide a price we were happy with. 
The materials arrived and we knew where they were going to unload them and it went like clock work! The installers were professional, courteous and always kept us informed. They were so accommodating it made the project go much smoother than I expected. The whole project took a week and the work area was always clean and tidy at the end of each day. The installer had to come back a few days after completion to install a shutter that had not arrived with the others and that was done in the time frame he gave me. We had some problems with part of the house after the old siding was removed. They actually had to remove some of our windows and reinstall them after some construction to get the windows where they belonged. The windows did not have the proper support before they went to work on them. That was all done at no charge to us. The company gave us one price and that was what we paid. That was a huge factor, that unknown costs were not an issue. We also have 2 dogs and each day the installers were careful to keep gates closed and dangers out of the way for our dogs. That is also huge for pet owners to feel like their pets will not be harmed or in danger.
The best things about Clearwater are, their product is top notch, they pass on to their customers the knowledge they have gained over the years that means less problem for the customer and the people who represent the company are very good to work with and people you would enjoy working with again.
The product is fabulous! I absolutely love it. It is money well spent and we have the best looking house in the neighborhood!

The project went very well even with adverse weather.   Clearwater Exteriors worked with me as I conducted sub-roof repairs and some fascia wood replacement.   I was amazed at the speed and precision the crew worked throughout the roofing project.  They all focused on safety as well.   All questions or concerns were answered promptly and with a supportive response.  

The roofing crew came and tore off the old roof while being careful not to hurt any of my plants, they stopped when we had to go outside so we would not get hurt walking the dog. It took 2 days to tear off the roof. The crew came back to put the new roof on and they were very professional being very precise to make sure every thing was perfect. The material they used was top grade  with a venting system that we had never had before. The crew did a great job cleaning up everything as they went and made sure we knew what was going on. We could not have asked for a better group to work with from the salesperson to the foreman to the crew. The warranty is the best we have ever seen. Everything from the first to the finish was perfect and if we decide to do our windows in the future we will certainly call Clearwater Exteriors as they do a very good job.
