ARK HOME MAINTENANCE

Paul was excellent. My wife and I had called Roof Life of Oregon out to do a free estimate on a small moss removal job. Roof Life had estimated that the two sections that needed removal, about 20x10 total, would cost us $700. Knowing that this was a ridiculous amount for such a small area, we immediately found ARK on craigslist and sent them an email. Our email was returned within the hour, and a call was made to us by Paul the very next morning. Without seeing the home, based solely on the description I gave of the work that needed done, Paul estimated the work would cost $250 total, for the same amount of work roof life had estimated would cost $700. He did however say there would be possibly a $50 change to that estimate if the work was harder than had been described. We set an appointment to have the work done Monday morning, and they promptly arrived then. When seeing the house, Paul said "I know I had quoted $250 on the phone, but that was too high" He then re-adjusted his estimate to $200. Absolutely the first time I ever felt that I was dealing with an honest contractor. I can't imagine in these tough economic times, any other business losing $50 by adjusting an estimate that I had already agreed to. I thought this showed tremendous morals, and a very refreshing honesty that is missing in todays small businesses. The work was completed in less than 2 hours and Paul and Freddie did an excellent job. Two very nice guys, I couldn't have been happier.
