What a great place to do business with, very open and honest. They truly went the extra mile to get my vehicle up and running, even better than before the problem started ! I highly recommend them, and I'm buying them lunch !!!

From when I walked into the shop to when the job was completed was only one hour! Gil, the manager is friendly and professional .Ryan, the master mechanic who performed the job is very knowledgeable and skilled. I also bought a can of 44K fuel system cleaner. So for a total cost of $79.64 it was a job done quickly, done well, and at a reasonable price. I'll definitely be back!

It didn't end up being repaired. They actually diagnosed the problem. They told me it was fine to not deal with it right at this moment and we went on from there. They're very friendly. I feel like they give me honest information. They're not pushy. They're honest about where the leak in the muffler is that's making the noise and why it's okay not to do that right at the moment. The muffler was damaged earlier. They gave me the parameter. If the engine light goes on, I need to definitely get the car back to check it out. They understand if you don't need the money to get it done. I've been using them for about three years now.

At the end of last year, we started going to Accurate Auto, Beaverton/TV Hwy location, and have had all positive experiences. Before that, we always took the car to the dealer for servicing, mostly because we had a maintenance package and weren't sure about reliable alternatives. We had a sudden problem with the power steering line and I initially took the car into the Nissan (Wilsonville) dealer, however after another trip where the service manager didn't bother to explain much nor break down the cost estimate, I started looking at options. Yeah, the waiting room is nice, but I got tired of feeling like I was overpaying in addition to there seeming to be an assumption that they didn't need to explain the work.
Before trying Accurate Auto, I actually had thought that maybe the OTHER Nissan dealership in the area (Beaverton) might be better and before the power steering issue stopped in when the car dash indicator showed low tire pressure. The service guy pulled the car in, and 20 min later he told me there was no problem with the tire other than being a little low on nitrogen/air and it was likely a faulty sensor but that they added some air. This didnt really make sense to me, and when I questioned he was fairly condescending and told me that tire pressure could vary monthly due to weather and such. Guess what? The next day , the reading worsened, and I could visibly see that the tire was low. I went back to the Wilsonville Nissan dealer (instead of the Beaverton location), and they said the tire had a puncture and needed patching or replacement.
So. The moral of the story is, YES, you can find reliable auto repair. You dont have to be at the mercy of the dealer. I will add that in addition to explaining, breaking down costs and often showing the repair issues to you, for the power steering line issue, Accurate Auto in Beaverton came in about $100 less than the quoted price I got from the Wilsonville Nissan dealer. The staff at Accurate has been helpful, patient, knowledgeable AND after nine months all is well with the car. One less thing to worry about.

He worked on my Honda for a long time. Finally, he told me it was time to give up my Honda and that it was going to continue to cost more than it was worth to fix it! He could've continued to cost me too much money to fix it but he did the honest thing and let me know!

.It is a small shop and they are easy and they are straightforward. Accurate Auto do not try to sell you what you don't want as in they will tell you that you do not need to change your air filter this time but maybe next time. We have a pass for them or a punch card so for 8 oil changes, it is USD 90.

First, I want to say that we've gone to the Beaverton Accurate Auto for a few years and they've always been polite, timely, and done a really good job. We knew it wasn't the cheapest but they did a good job and we're willing to pay for that. Up to a point. Now on to the battery story:My car didn't start at Home Depot. I called Accurate Auto because I'd been there the week (08/03/2012) before for the 60K service ($1087.78 with no discount) and had the bodily fluids changed. Carl started having us go there because their ad said and quot;No towing fee if we repairand quot;, and he didn't want us broken down and unfixed when we was out of town. Tow $62.50 I didn't need a tow. I needed a jump. I have Auto Club and if I'd known that they weren't going to honor the free tow thingie, I'd have called them. I should have checked. Even so....The tow guy said it would be $50 for a jump. $52 if I used a credit card. So I said fine, thought I'd pay him when we got back to Accurate Auto. At the end, I get a ding for $62.50. Tom, the service manager, says that's what the tow company charged him. Lie. Carl called the tow company after. It was $50, just as I had told him but having come in the door with and quot;Hi Honey, I spent $270 on a battery for the jeepand quot;, I had no credibility. Accurate Auto Markup on the third-party tow: 20% of the $52.00 for running the credit card, which they had to do anyway. Battery: $145.23This is where Carl's hand started to shake and he picked up the TV Remote and tried to call Accurate Auto until I pointed out to him that they weren't going to answer on the remote. Service Manager Tom tells him that's the going price for a battery, or we'd have gotten one that only lasts 3-4 months. Carl went down to the garage and got the number off the new Napa battery. He called Napa. Napa fella says that battery sells for $89.95 from Napa installed retail -- guy off the street walks in and wants a battery, it's $89.95. Service Manager Tom made a big deal of telling me that they hadn't charged me for the install. But repair shops get their batteries for less than retail. So a conservative estimate, since they don't pay Napa retail or installation, is: Accurate Auto Markup from the Napa installed battery price: and gt; 100% Repair Supplies $6.67I have no idea what this is but at $270 for a battery, I didn't ask. Retest Charging and Starting System: $48.68I really don't have much problem with this. Although if they charged me roughly $1000 six days earlier, only three of which I'd had the car on the road, well didn't they already test that? But and lt; $50 to make sure we weren't going to be stranded on the side of the freeway seems okay. Environmental: $7.69Is this for getting rid of the old battery? Because it used to be that if you took your old battery in to the battery place, and they gave you $5-10 for it. You didn't pay anything to have somebody take it away. The SequelSo I called Don, the nice owner, who really did seem like a nice Christian guy who was trying to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. But what do I know? I said I was sorry but we weren't going to be coming there any more and I'd like to tell him why and give him a chance to fix it and invited him over for a soda or a beer or whatever. He took our number and said he couldn't that day but he'd call us back. It's been a week here and no call. That seems kinda silly because we've done $2000 to $3000 worth of business with him since we started going there and even if it were just numbers, that's less than 10% to keep a customer. Back at the ranch, the jeep starts first time every time now. And it definitely should not have cost $270.

Their suggestion is to pull the turbocharger, look for a different leak, head gasket problem, or cracked head. $680, FOR A REMOVAL, INSPECTION, RE-INSTALL! Repairs, if necessary, NOT included! Several other shops indicated that they could trouble shoot this problem in "a couple of hours" and make a determination. So, I'll choose one and report back.

2000 Taurus: It was not clear what the problem was with the cooling system; perhaps they should have discovered the nature of the problem sooner than they did but they did find it and correct it and most of the bill, $590.48, was for parts. They also cured a moldy smell that we had supposed could not be fixed. In the first month after the repair, the smell faded away and five months later, it has not returned. 1993 Taurus: Nothing remarkable about a battery test and battery replacement.

They did a great job on an unusual repair... a circuit board on my '97 Sebring convertible went out, causing my odometer and tach to only work intermittently. The dealer wanted over $600 for the replacement board, not counting labor. I found detailed instructions for self-repair on the web but it's beyond my skill level. Accurate Auto did the job and saved me hundreds! They're polite, timely and do good work.

PROBLEMS STARTED WHEN I TOOK CAR BACK IN JULY 2006 FOR HEATER CORE, AC WORK. I HAD TO TAKE MY CAR BACK MULTIPLE TIMES TO HAVE THE WORK DONE CORRECTLY. FURTHERMORE THEY BROKE PARTS WHILE DOING THE WORK. THEY TRIED TO SAY IT WAS LIKE THAT WHEN THEY GOT IT, WHICH IT WAS NOT. THEY "FIXED" THE 2 THINGS THEY BROKE BUT USED AN INFERIOR USED PARTS IN THE PROCESS AND THEN BROKE THE CLIPS HOLDING THE STEERING COLUMN CASING TOGETHER. I FILED A BBB COMPLAINT AGAINST THEM WITH THE OREGON BBB. THE COMPANY OFFERED $50, OR THEY FIX IT, FOR THE DAMAGE, WHICH IS NOT CLOSE TO THE COST TO REPAIR. THE BBB CASE NUMBER IS: 22083068. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME FOR A COMPLETE AND ACCURATE COPY OF THE CASE. THIS CASE WILL NOW GO TO A LAWSUIT. I WILL NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO WORK ON MY VEHICLE AGAIN. BBB RECORDS SHOW THIS COMPANY HAS 8 COMPLAINTS AS OF TODAY WITH 5 OF THEM CLOSED WITHIN THE LAST YEAR. HARDLY SATISFACTORY. MY EMAIL IS: [email protected]
Response from Accurate Auto of Hillsboro
"We have made every attempt to resolve this matter. Our attempts have been properly documented and recognized by the BBB. This customer refuses to allow us to make this situation right. We have always resolved any and all concerns from our customers. We still offer to fix her turn signal and column covers. She refuses. This is her decision."
