All work exceeded the report issued by our structural engineer for wind and seismic upgrades. He recommended a list of specific home areas for correction along the number of Simpson straps, sheathing, building methods and very detailed construction requirements throughout our home. The building expertise of Aand H resulted in the efficient completion of all structural recommendations. In addition they identified areas where the addition of sheer walls and nailing would improve strength in of our home. Aand H have built homes for many years so they understand construction materials used during different periods of time. Our home was built in the mid 1980s. They knew how materials have changed over time, identified an areas where prior nailing standard lost strength and added current materials for strength. They know building, are courteous, efficient and produce excellent results.

When they built the elevator shaft in the midst of our house we found them be be highly skilled builders who deliver construction results according to architect plans. They worked in our floor space amongst us, screened off sections for work, were efficient yet very nice professional people. They are courteous, pleasant, have superb communications skills. We trusted them and found them to have excellent ideas and a can do attitude. As a result we asked them to enlarge door ways for major rooms to 36 inches wide. They again were efficient and accomplished the work with reasonable costs. When our architect found a driveway issue at our home, Aand H completed the majority of the repair work and in the process upgraded he structure of our home exceeding the requirements of our architect. Again the worked professionally, with superb communications, and their work was excellent. I should mention the Aand H are superb in heavy construction work. Large Oregon construction companies utilize Aand H for major projects in heavy construction. The large companies bid and finish the work while Aand H completes major structure construction. So their work is in many projects. Our third project was a voluntary wind and seismic retrofit. Aand H worked from the plan written by a structural engineer. They completed the full multistory work. In some instances they added added additional areas of strengthening and building reinforcement. Our current project includes construction of a uniquely designed pergola in our yard. Aand H suggested a design idea and along the way we asked an architect to join the team and complete,design plans. The collaboration of Aand H and architect has yielded the ideal design. We have HOA approval and are moving forward. In addition, a door will be installed under our house,for better access and storage. Basically Aand H can build what you wish to be build. They are flexible, knowledgeable, have along history of all kinds of projects and do excellent work. We have height standards and found A and H are great to work with and deliver exceptional work.
