Start To Finish Contractors

House was built in 2012. Start to finish is the contractor listed on the homes paperwork. After 13 years the roof will need to be replaced. I have has multiple roofing companies take a look. They said Start to finish used the cheapest materials available and quality of work is horrible. This is what caused the roof to fail after such little time. Do not use these guys!

Start to Finish “replaced” the roof on my garage 5 years ago. They did a TERRIBLE job. The whole thing is covered in water damage because they made no effort to create any drainage. We called them for an entire YEAR and they didn’t answer the phone once, and never responded to any of my voicemails. I guess the “warranty” I have from them is just trash. A new roofer came out and told us that Start to Finish just covered up the old roof with the new one and the entire thing needs to be replaced because it’s just full of puddles and damage at this point. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

The first crew that showed up was late, and did not have sufficient equipment to complete the job.   They were dismissed later that morning when the foreman came by to check on progress.  A second crew was brought out that afternoon which began working hard to get back on schedule.  

The job was initially scheduled to begin on Friday and complete on Saturday.  It was completed on Monday.

The final product is a quality roof.  

We noticed some wet spots and staining on the wood decking in the attic space of our home. We knew the roof was leaking for some reason, but did not know why. This is a 40 year roof with only 15 years on it. We called several roofing companies, and one was able to come out the same day. This other "roofing company" did not know what was causing it but basically wanted to rip off a good part of the roofing to find out why. They gave us the runaround and could not even give us a ballpark figure for repairs. Through a friend we found Kendall who owns Start to Finish Contractors. He came out the next day, and within a few minutes knew exactly why the roof was leaking. He found all the holes made in the shingles, caulked them, and guaranteed there would be no more leakage. Two weeks later, and no leaking whatsoever. He was correct, honest, and very reasonable. We highly recommend Kendall, and will use him again.

We had contacted Start To Finish Contractors for an estimate to replace the garage roof of the home we had just purchased in Portland. In addition, we needed a specially made gutter and downspouts to correct a previous drainage problem. Not only was their price reasonable but their workmanship appears to be very good. I was pleased with their promptness and with their nice attitude. As soon as the work was completed, I received a copy of my invoice as well as a 10 year warranty for labor and a 30 year manufacturer's warranty covering the architectural roof. I was very pleased with this company and would definitely recommend them to others.
