About us
Hello, I would like to introduce myself. I'm Dan Muir, born and raised in Portland Oregon. I went to Centennial High School and have a five year degree from Multnomah University. I began painting in 1973 to work my way through college and continued after graduation. I began on old Portland homes and soon perfected the preperation necessary to produce long lasting, quality paint jobs. I make an effort to be prompt and timely, to insist on quality, and employ people who are well versed in comunicating with customers who may have questions or concerns. I have been quite successful in painting largely due to my overall dedication to good preparation, the use of quality materials and the knowledge of the many dynamics in this particular industry. Good paint jobs do not happen by accident. It takes an organized effort with people that know the business. I hope you will trust me with your home or your commercial property and I promise I will do all I can to make the painting experience a pleasant one. Our license number is 47305 and everyone that works for me is on payroll and fully insured. You can contact me directly at 503 810 6105. You can also look us up at www.muirpainting.com. "Well my record now of 8 F or 1 star reviews remains perfect, in other words houses I have never painted. Chris was a former lead man for me and last year went out on his own. I refer jobs to him sometimes ( jobs I can't take ) and I tell the customer right up front it is between them and Chris. This gentleman has never contacted me and this is the first I have heard of this. I always stress to the customer that I do not receive any money from the job. It is interesting though that the work seems to be fine and I have no clue what the deal is on the color."
"Interesting review. You would have to read at least the last 30 reviews to see how satisfied our customers are (reviews on houses we did not paint don't count). I had a crew spent one day filling thousands of nail holes, light washing is what we would do on old shakes, and my bid is very clear on what a double coat is (we are interested in how thick that paint is). Lastly it was me that went out and walked the house with the customer and I made a great effort to explain that the surfaces on his shakes were not consistent. This is not unusual with non-grooved shakes. More paint would not change this. I thought his house looked great and he seemed happy with the paint job. I never heard back till now and I find it interesting that it has been a year. I will say though I have painted thousands of homes and buildings and I would expect that along the way we have not made 100% of our customers happy, though we do try."
"I make thousands of phone calls a year, so if I didn't get back to her soon enough sorry. I don't mind getting a D on a job I never painted. If you look at the two previous reviews they will comment on my responsiveness. By the way I was at a wedding in Mexico at the time."
