 + -1 moreI had heard about Dollar Scholar for a couple of years and the surprise that awaits you when you open the door as a new customer. They were not wrong. I won't give it away, but the friendly guy at the counter will ask you to do something. Do not decline his invitation of fun. They have a great assortment of oddities and I feel really good supporting someone like this.
Description of Work: I was looking for gifts for co-workers.

 + -1 moreThey stand behind their products and have a hassle-free returns policy. It's also a nice place to shop if you like supporting small local businesses.
Description of Work: The Dollar Scholar has a lot of great stuff, and as their name indicates, everything is a dollar or less. They have quite a few things that make nice gifts, including home decor (candles, candleholders, vases, etc) and kids items (crafts, jewelry, toys). They also offer a discount to teachers.

Description of Work: They carry party hats, favors, candles, paper supplies (plates, napkins, etc) and specialty items like spray-on window decorations that wash off with water. As the name indicates, everything is a dollar or less.
