Had request from tenant to troubleshoot/repair faulty kitchen light(s) which had become increasingly toublesome in the past months.  I called one trusted provider who told me they were booked through Thanksgiving.  Then called another highly rated Angie's List provider and left detailed message about the scope of work, and call back information....never received a call back at all.  Went back to Angie's List, found Orient Electric and called and left a message - I received a call back within 30 mins, apologizing for being on the other line and not be able to answer my call right away!  Sooo, explained my situation  being an out-of-town landlord, needing this lighting situation fixed for my tenant, and asked them to coordinate with my tenant for the most convenient time to handle.  All these requests were accepted with ease, and within a couple days I was contacted to let me know everything had been accomplished and taken care of.  I was able to pay via credit card over the phone, and complete the entire transaction without a problem.  
It is nice to know that there are companies still out there who take care of their customers, whether the problem is small or large, and offer outstanding service - being technically able to do the work, and being able to take care of take care of your customer are two entirely different things - and Orient Electric performed admirably in both areas. I really appreciate knowing that my time is important, and this business was willing to take care of me and my tenant in a timely fashion!  Orient Electric will be at the top of my contact list for business needs.  Thank you!

I needed an electrician in a rather short amount of time to convert my hard-wired drop in oven to an outlet.  When I called, they weren't sure if they could fit me in because of my work schedule.  They really came through, though.  They actually moved another job to fit me in.  I was so appreciative.  Joseph was on time, professional and knowledgeable.  He quickly realized that the new stove I purchased had too many amps for the new outlet to support and it was going to cost a lot to make a conversion of that magnitude. He was thorough about the pros and cons for the each choice and I ended up returning my stove so I didn't have to convert the outlet to a higher amperage.  They were very reasonably priced and Joseph cleaned everything up afterwards.  He even set up the old drop in to work temporarily until I could re-order a different oven.  I would definitely use them again.

I received bids from several companies and my Dad was most impressed with Orient and their expertise. They came in at a good price compared to others and they were able to schedule work the following week. When the guys arrived on the day of installation, they were on-time and efficient. A few hours later, work was complete. The following week the city inspector came out and approved the work. Working with Orient Electric was very easy-going and I would hire them again for future needs.

The service went fine. One person came out and he was very punctual and prompt. He was also a nice guy and an efficient worker. I had no problem scheduling the service both times they came out. We have them scheduled back out to fix the quarter of the house I blew out.

The electrician showed up right on time as scheduled, gave me a quick preview of the costs involved, then went right to work. He answered any questions I had along the way and finished all the work in just a few hours including a nice cleanup and hauling away all the old hardware. He was very personable, knowledgeable, everything was done to code, and their pricing seemed reasonable for the amount of time it took to perform all the work. I would easily recommend them and will use them again myself in the future. Joseph was the electrician that did my work.

We had a list of problems throughout our house. He was professional and knew exactly what was happening with each issue. Work was performed quickly.

Needed for a relatively small job. Called on Friday and was told they would call sometime the following week. They called on Thursday and came out an hour later. Installer was very friendly and pleasant to be around.

Great. I called yesterday morning. They made an appointment for this morning between 0800-0900. Joseph arrived at 0820 Discussed my objectives and gave me some options. Checked condition of existing lights (none working correctly), replaced three lights and was cleaned up and on his way out around 1015 or so. Neat, professional, friendly. I've used Orient Electric before and was glad I went back to them for this job.

They are usually pretty good. They come quickly and fix the problem quickly. I also need them now since my two heaters are not working. They are polite, professional and efficient. Their pricing is comparable to other prices. They have good quality except they put the plug the wrong way. Instead of putting it sideways they put it up and down, but it still works. Their responsiveness is very good and they are right on time.

Awesome! From the original appointment for the estimate to completion of the work they arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and, most importantly, double checked that everything was working before they left. Mike, the owner, called the day of the appointment for the estimate to see if he could come a little early. Yes, early. His professional attitude and willingness to explain what needed to be done was outstanding. The estimate arrived when he said it would and was right in the range I thought it would be. Joesph and Patrick arrived to do the work on time and Mike was there within a half hour to make sure they knew what needed to be done and answer any questions they might have. This was not a huge job so the boss checking in on the first day was very impressive. The work was completed a little ahead of schedule, the inspector arrived on the day he was scheduled and no problems were found. The invoice was for the exact amount of the bid even though they did one extra little job - climbed a ladder in my living room to change a bulb I could not reach and check the light for a short.
Orient Electric was recommended to me by a friend and I have already recommended them to another friend. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I opted to use Orient electric because they are a locally owned company. They were not the lowest bid, but they seemed to have the best plan for our installation. They were on site on time and very professional.
The county inspector commented that they did a very neat job, and passed with it out an issue.
Office staff at Orient were very friendly and did a good job of keeping me informed.
I would recommend Orient to others from my positive experience with them.

Everything about working with this company was good. They were
responsive, professional and easy to have in the house. Everything they
did works fine.There is still some work to be done after a bit of
remodeling so they are just waiting for us to call and say we are ready.
I did not rate the price because we did not get any other bids. They
were recommended to us and had all A's on Angies List so we just went
with them.

I discovered the range top and oven were not working. I tried to reset the 40 amp circuit breaker at the panel but it tripped almost immediately and loudly telling me I had a problem. After checking Angie's List I found both favorable reviews and close proximity for Orient Electric. I called Mike at the shop on 12/24 and set up an appointment for 12/28 as I was going to be gone for Christmas. The day of the appointment, Joseph showed up a little before the 8:30 am appointment time and got right to work. He discovered the connections for the oven and range top were corroded at the split bolt. He replaced the connections at the wire box beneath the range and tried the breaker only to find that it tripped when turned on. He inspected the electrical panel and found no issues but replaced the 40 amp breaker as a precaution. He reset the breaker and my range top and oven were back in service. I also had Joseph look at a light switch tied to an exterior security light that I had not been able to use for years because it would trip another breaker. He immediately found the problem being a short on an old wire connected to the switch that was once used for an old lamp post that was long ago removed. He disconnected and terminated the shorted wire allowing me to use the security light once more. Joseph did a terrific job. He cleaned up his work area, was very courteous, and explained everything he did on his service call. My house was built in 1970 and it's likely I'll have other electrical issues at some point. I won't hesitate to call Orient Electric when that time comes.
