Arnie totally transformed our two-tier yard, and we could not be happier with the results and the price. He put in a new drainage system, a huge, beautiful patio, fire pit area, boulder retaining wall, lower walkway, fencing, irrigation, and replaced the majority of our plants with natives. He has even crafted his own soil mix that sustainably fertilizes the plants longterm! His team does everything by hand, and the care and energy they bring to the work is phenomenal. He communicated with us during every part of the process, and was always willing to explain or fix anything we had questions about. When a few small unexpected costs came up, he took them on himself. I am just wowed at the ethics and the craftsmanship of this company.

Was promised by the owner he would finish the job of clearing our fence from growth and has not answered or returned my calls for 3 months. It’s really disappointing.

We are thrilled with our new construction landscape in Southeast Portland; the results of our collaboration with a designer and two contractors. For biding the project, our designer met with the contractors on site to thoroughly explain the design and help them to understand our special needs. Afterwards, we selected a primary contractor who needed to leave a few projects incomplete until we could be back on site and collaborate on decisions and final projects. When it fit our schedule and came time to pick up the project again, our primary contractor. due unforeseen circumstances were unavailable to complete the job. Wanting to move ahead and finish the landscape, we reached out to our designer and requested she go back to the other contractor and see if he could help us complete the job. Arnie Lopez of NatureSafe was that special businessman that made room in his busy schedule and said yes to helping us finish the job. Arnie is honest, humble, professional, fast, efficient, and has a can-do attitude that is bolstered by his resourcefulness and excellent business acumen. He and his crew worked with us to refine some edging and soil retention; they built three and marvelous trellis structures; adjusted some of the plant placement; installed additional lighting that was not part of the original design; completed our fencing and gates; and added to our landscape on both sides where we shared space with neighbors. The outcome was marvelous. Arnie and his crew completed their work within the space of one week. I highly recommend this company; you certainly cannot go wrong choosing them to work with.

The work went exceptionally well. Arnie's crew dug and removed the necessary soil and concrete, graded and compacted the soil; added a drain pipe, weed fabric, crushed rock, etc. and laid bricks. They finished the job with polymeric sand to keep the bricks from shifting, and edged per our request with either concrete or treated lumber. The crew was punctual, knowledgeable, professional, hard-working, and friendly. They communicated each time a decision was needed and made sure we were happy with the work before adding the polymeric sand and before payment. They provided all supplies (with the exception of some old bricks which they matched with new "used" bricks), and cleaned up afterwards so we had no work to do. They were so nice we actually enjoyed the process and were sorry to see them leave. I am happy to recommend them without reservation. If a photo shows up (Angie's List crashes when I try to add one), we built the small wall, so that wasn't part of the job--although they cut the curves that define the shape of the patio per our request.

Overall, they did great! We are really happy with how the project turned out - quality is great, didn’t take too much time, crew was really nice and Arnie is very courteous and professional. If we had to do this over, there is no question we would hire them again. 

There were only a few instances where they weren’t responding to our phone calls and did some things differently than discussed before talking to us. It all turned out well in the end, but we would have appreciated being informed first.

Again, I would highly recommend Nature Safe! We have done a few projects on our house and these guys are definitely the best contractor we have hired.

It turned out awesome and great.  They were clean and did a really good stone work.  They did everything; I didn't have to worry about anything.  I hardly have to check them.
