They changed ownership and now are really expensive. They used to be reasonable. I will not be going back. They did the timing belt as well. It was double what I expected to pay. They did an okay job but the price was really a shock.

I wouldn't send my worst friend to him. I called him up and guaranteed a price on a car. So I got out to the dealership and it was a he said, she said again. He had guaranteed me one price, I got in there and of course, being a car dealer, it went up. I was very upset, let's put it that way. But we did come to a price just because I didn't want to bother going through this whole thing with another dealer. I wouldn't go back to him one bit. It's rarely pleasant dealing with an auto dealer but this guy was terrible.

You can wait for it usually, they have an Express and they have a very nice waiting area. They're very communicative with their customers. They talk over what they did and what they found. They're great that way.

We chose a vehicle one day and returned several days later to finalize the transaction.  Our salesman was very responsive about treating the vehicle as sold between the time we said we wanted it, called to confirm and provided a deposit.  
On the day of the actual sale - as other reviewers have noted both on Angie's list and other internet sites - a long and complex mandatory sales presentation of extended warranties and services occurred.  It had a high pressure dynamic.  We were exhausted, hungry and unable to grasp the details and asked for time to study  the materials.  The business manager eventually acceded to our request and even gave us additional decision-making time which was much appreciated.
This seems to be a high volume, successful dealership whose physical plant was undergoing remodeling at the time of our purchase.  Perhaps a casualty of remodeling, details seemed to be a weakness - e.g., no one could initially find the advertised vehicle we asked about.  Later, an option purchased as a post sale add-on turned out different than described (and understood) by our salesman.  In addition, we received a list of vehicle features and options, one of which turned out to be an error. Ultimately, because the sales price included that feature (and we were quite let down to not have it), a refund was requested and issued.  Finally, the interior auto detailing (no pun intended) missed some noticeable things.
Pricing/trade in allowance was ok - not super - but ok. Staff and management were generally very pleasant and responsive and at this point  we would recommend the dealership as long as the buyer takes responsibility for attending to all details.

We have always been very satisfied with them. Unfortunately we have one of those Toyota that we have a ramp for and I can't tell you how many times it has been recalled for other minor things and they have always fixed it and last we call they fixed it before we got to recall that is is fine so they are up-to-date on what is wrong and stuff like that. The service was always real good. They are real friendly and helpful. They have service that if your car is left for long time and we don't live very far from them they will come and pick up so that is helpful too. The quality of the service and friendliness of the people keeps us going back there and the honesty.

I found out later I got ripped off. They charged me twice as much for the battery as AAA charged for the same thing. They are always polite and courteous and, besides that, they are the only one that knows how my car works. Starting to work on my vehicle depends on how backed up they are. Usually they start the next day if I have to leave it there. They have a shuttle service to take me back and pick me up if they have to keep my car.

Their salesman is a BIG jerk and a fat LIAR. And their services
are not that great, we had to wait a fairly long time to get through
their financing service. We went there with the intent to purchase a
Prius. We agreed with the salesman that we would purchase the car for X
amount plus carpets. After we have signed the papers, we noticed that
the car did not have the carpets like we requested. This wouldn't have
been a big deal if they told us upfront and BEFORE pulling our credit
scores and signing the papers. This was very UNACCEPTABLE, and many of
you would be pretty upset. This was incredibly frustrating because we
had a 2 year old and a 6 month old with us. By the end of the night
they were tired and hungry. I feel like they intentionally made us wait
since we had 2 kids and thought that we would just take the car anyway.
We got to the dealer around 5p.m. and ended up with no car at
10:30p.m. I felt bad for my 6 month old son, he just cried and cried on
his way home and many of you parents know how stressful this is. Not
only they have wasted our time and flat out LIED to our face but putting
my kids through this was uncalled for. I can't believe these people
were purely dishonest and deceitful. Please don't waste you time and
energy on Gresham Toyota. They are NOT trustworthy and overall big
jerks.

I called to make an appointment to turn the car back in. When I arrived the employee I was supposed to meet was leaving so he handed me off to someone else. The employee I dealt with handed me some papers to fill out and then went to check what else needed to be done. My sister and I were just standing there, they were not busy and did not treat us very well. When I turned the car in they did not inspect the car and they did not offer leasing me another car. All in all it was a bad experience.

Salesman was courteous, fairly knowledgeable (except for the onboard factory security system); Finance department was courteous but made repeated statements leading me to believe the dealership was going to take care of the soon to be out of date license tags; and the on-line statement notification of the financing portion of the sales deal. Repeated phone calls only got results from them of not being able to locate the tags (initially called plates); and I just got the on-line notices corrected myself. Turns out the dealership never charged me for the tag service, but said they were doing it and just waiting for the DMV to send notice of the title and I got my tags myself. This dealership (especially the finance dept.) cannot box it's way out of a wet paper sack (as the discreting phrase goes). Four months later, my car that was supposed to be a delight has been a nightmare of purchase, and I through MY EFFORTS alone, have got all the stupidity corrected. I will NEVER do business with Gresham Toyota again. Weston GMC, or Gresham Ford is far more professional.

I took my Toyota Matrix in for a general service/check up before I hit 60,000 miles and the warranty expired. They serviced the car, said it was in great condition and I proceeded to drive home. I made it about 15 miles on I84 eastbound before my car stalled and I was stuck on the side of the road. I waited for two hours to be towed back to the dealership and since I arrived back in Gresham after 6:00pm, I had to find someone to take me all the way out to the gorge and back into Portland the following morning for work. They looked over the car the next day and found that they neglected to put coolant back in the engine, ruining my perfectly good Matrix. They set me up with a rental two days later while we debated about how they were going to fix my car. They offered to replace the engine with one from a wrecked car with fewer miles, but I declined. They offered to replace it with a remanufactured engine, which I researched and found that remanned engines for the 2007 Matrix don't exist. I passed on the first two options because I took a perfectly functioning car, which I bought brand new, to this dealership and they ruined it. Both of those options carried a potential for mechanical problems in the future. The dealership offered to replace the heads, short block and valves that were damaged by the lack of coolant, which I thought was an adequate offer. The next day, they retracted the offer and turned the whole issue over to their insurance company. I argued with their insurance company, Sentry Insurance, for about six weeks, but they would only offer a remanned engine. Ultimately, I took my Matrix to Integrity Auto (great mechanic) and went ahead with the third option even though the insurance company was not on board. It runs great now, but I ended up paying about $1,300 out of pocket since Sentry Insurance would only cover $4,400 (the price of a remanned engine). I took my Matrix to Gresham in attempts to be a responsible vehicle owner and have it looked over before the warranty was up. There was nothing wrong with my car before I took it to Gresham Toyota and not only did they ruined it, but they did not fix the problem that their negligence caused. I should not have had to pay $1300 to fix my car, but their offers presented a great potential for future problems and I was getting desperate to have my only mode of transportation back in a reliable, working order. I wouldn't wish this experience on my worst enemy!

Like many businesses today, Gresham Toyota has a skewed idea of service to their customers. On this day they had no qualms about allowing their customers to wait an extraordinary amount of time. I find their lack of focus on the customer frustrating. I can get regular scheduled maintenance on my Toyota at many places; indeed I plan to. Service managers like the one at Gresham Toyota need to understand most people like me are willing to pay a little extra for great service, and are willing to take their business elsewhere when they are given poor service.
