Dust Devil Cleaning Systems

Hired Dust Devil to wash the windows in my house. This company performed this same service last year under the name Red Hook and I was solicited to return with the same price as last year. I asked to have 20 windows cleaned for a set price of $65.00. The company representative also quoted a $9.50 trip charge as well. I was given the time frame of 3:00-5:00 pm for the company to arrive and clean my windows. After waiting 30 minutes, I called the company and asked where they were. I was then told that the time frame was for arrival, not cleaning, but that the assigned staff would arrive within 45 minutes and should be able to complete the work by 6:00 pm. The workers arrived at 5:15 pm and when I mentioned that I had expected them earlier, the worker, named Preston, replied, "oh, well, stuff happens" and "the company is not good at training the people who schedule". His attitude was cocky and definitely not customer friendly. He then proceeded to tell us that we had too many windows to clean for that price, asked me repeatedly for my receipt from last year and argued that one window in my home, which had a triangle cutout on the top of the window was actually three panes of glass. After, 15 minutes of this, I explained that I was frustrated with the fact that they were late, now the staff were arguing with us and stated that I would contact the owner, Ryan and asked Preston to please start the job that we hired him to do. In the meantime, the other staff, Chris was busy cleaning the inside of the living room windows and he was very polite and did a great job. I then contacted the owner, Ryan and explained our frustrations. My husband also spoke with Ryan about the fact that the company had not been clear on set price, asked what he company charges to clean a pane of glass. Neither Ryan or Preston would actually answer the question and we explained that we felt that our agreement was to clean 20 windows, not "20 Panes of Glass"? We wanted to be fair in the price, & Ryan agreed to honor the initial price but also explained that there was also a $9.50 charge for hard water removal, which was not quoted. We will not use this company again. The staff Preston was definitely not appropriate, argumentative and made the comment to my husband, "I've never had a customer argue about the cost". (Really?) We feel that the company was very misleading in their agreement, time frame, cost of services and the job was not as good as last year.
