Universal Propane

Jonathan from Universal Propane came up to the house first to evaluate the site and recommend a good location for the 250 gal propane tank. He had good tips and was very knowledgeable. We settled on a location and I called him back when I had dug the trench for the gas line. About a week later he brought the tank up to the house and installed it on the site we agreed on earlier. Then he ran the flexible gas line in the trench and pressurized it. I had to wait a couple of days for the county building inspector to come out and "green tag" the install, but Jonathan came out a couple of days later and made the connections to the tank and to my generator. Through out the several days that this job took, Jonathan was very amicable and easy to deal with. The only thing that wasn't as I expected was the delay between getting the tank set and gas line laid in the trench and the connection to the tank and equipment. This wasn't anything Jonathan or Universal caused, but it would have been helpful if he had explained the steps to me on the first day so I could anticipate the delays and schedule for them better. The company also worked with me and supplied 150 gal of propane but allowed me to pay for it as if I was receiving 50 gal/month for several months. This helped me a lot since filling the tank all at once would have been very difficult on my fixed income. Universal is also the best in my area for prices of equipment leasing and gas prices. They don't have a minimum charge or any hidden charges for delivery. BTW, They only charged me for the parts used and not anything for the labor, even though Jonathan connected to my generator for me. This wasn't expected, but was very much appreciated and shows their commitment to the customer.

This company will never do better with the office help it has. Very unprofessional, all the sub-contractors cringed having to deal with the ladies, and the only reason I think the owner keeps them around is he's afraid to fire them. His workman keep showing up unannounced on the property after their boss stating it's a company policy to let the customer know they are there. Well it's either the Great Danes or the double barrel to teach them a lesson, Great Danes cost a lot to feed.
