The Music Shop

Description of Work: Had company installed top of the line Kenwood system with backup camera, bluetooth handsfree, voice commands etc.

Description of Work: I had a car alarm installed by The Music Shop, as they do install stereo and alarms in cars.The alarm started out going off every time another car would drive by, they adjusted it several times to stop that. The alarm would disable the car and was supposed to stop when the open button on the key fob would be pushed. The car started to lock itself and would not respond to the key fob to stop the alarm and open the door, the car would be disabled and could not be started, for a couple of hours. I was stranded many times because of this car alarm malfunctioning. I complained to the company and was told that I just needed to be more careful about how I pushed the button on the key fob. The first time I got stranded I was at a park with a friend and three children. A worker at The Music Shop was kind enough to come out to the park and fix the problem so I could drive the car again. The second time the car was disables by the car alarm I called The music Shop to tell them the alarm disabled the car and I was told that they would charge me $75.00 to come fix the problem because it would take a man's time away from the shop. I told the people at the shop I wanted the car alarm taken out and I was told twice that It just needed to be re adjusted not removed,but readjusting it did not fix the problem. The third time I asked to have the alarm removed the woman at the store argued with me about it because I also wanted my money back. I was told I was not going to get my money back because they spent time putting the alarm in my car and it was a labor cost that is not refundable. The day I had an appointment for my car at the shop I told them to remove the car alarm because I was getting stranded with the disabled car that was never getting fixed and that I still wanted my money back. The Music Shop staff removed the car alarm, handed it to me in a box and said I would not get my money back because the car alarm is working just fine. I responded to the people by stating, if the car alarm was working it would still be in my car. This was a horrible experience from start to finish that lasted from March 30 to June 23.
