STEVER DESIGN

Hired Ms. Stevers after seeing a beautiful design and remodel that she oversaw at a friends house. Explained that we were hoping she could draw plans to improve function without changing any exterior windows, etc. explained in great detail that this was not a home we would stay in long, so we wanted to keep the changes minimal. The original measure consult took 1 1/2 hours. She then took her notes, and we agreed to meet in a few weeks after she had drawn up plans. When we met again she had completely ignored our criteria, budget and overall scope of work and proceeded to show us what SHE believed was OPTIMAL for our home in a perfect world with no budget. None of her plans were minimal and ALL required exterior changes as well. In all we paid $1000 for her ideas that did us absolutely no good. She frequently mentioned she is accustomed to working with individuals with no budget constraints. ***In fairness, her ideas were brilliant, had we wanted to put the resources into making this our optimal home. Our friends were extremely pleased with their outcome. I would consider using Stever Design in the future, but with VERY clear directives. It was a very expensive lesson to learn.
