 + -1 moreRuss King is NOT currently licensed. ( License # 146775) The CCB suspended his license in August, 2011. Russ King, shows up for work at noon, stays in my home until after 7pm, never gave me any written bid or any cash paid receipts, he will not return calls, hangs up on me when I do finally contact him, he left all the left over debris on my property for me to dispose of. He abandoned the job after charging me an extra $600.00 that was never discussed. He spends most of his time detailing his awful home life, playing with my dogs, being fed by me because he never leaves at a reasonable time and according to CCB which I am filing a complaint with is working in violation of the Rules of the Oregon Construction Contractors Board.His work ( when you can get him to do it) is very good, no complaints of the quality other than he is unreliable, dishonest, and working without a license or bond. His license was twice suspended for lack of bond.DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!! there are plenty of great tile setters, I only wish I had this information long ago. I am ready to do a melt down living in this utter chaos for so long and now in the middle of summer can't find a contractor to finish this mess for a month.
Description of Work: Russ King set tiles on my kitchen and two bathroom floors through a flooring company. I hired him to do a remodel on two of my bathrooms, including tearing out the tub and showers, tiling the walls and shower floor. This is when the trouble started once he was on his own working independently of the flooring company. Please read below for the nightmare experience.
