Opening Doors Remodeling

Our bath/laundry turned out so much better than we had envisioned. We now have a beautiful cultured marble walk-in shower with frameless glass doors. We just squeegee the whole thing off after showering, it is so easy to keep clean. The drywall looks fabulous now with new texture and we love the vinyl plank flooring David installed. We chose an efficient Toto toilet which works like a charm. David also added a new ventilation fan; the old one was inefficient and LOUD, the new one is finally the right size for the room, is quiet and is controlled with a timer switch next to the door. We finally have a light above the shower as well. The finishing touches were crown moulding which wraps seamlessly around the updated cabinets and continues around the room. We have always been do-it-yourselfers but we knew this remodel was WAY beyond our capability. So we looked to Angie's List to find a qualified professional to do the job and David Riggs had excellent ratings. We were not disappointed; he is experienced in all types of remodeling and is professional, personable and comfortable to work with. He called daily to let us know when he would arrive and which subcontractor would be coming, what the job would entail for that day, and he always tidied up at the end of the day. All the subcontractors David chose for our job were professional, on-time and pleasant. He was meticulous with every part of the job and the finished result is what I call the "nicest room in the house". We would hire David again with no hesitation, would recommend him with no reservations.

Great we are very pleased with the end result. My kitchen was very dark and David suggested raising the ceiling which is now nice and bright. He was very helpful in helping me decide on color of cabinets and etc. He is very respectful of your wishes and tries his best to satisfy you. I would most definitely use him again.

David Riggs is the owner of Opening Doors Remodeling. We would definitely recommend him to our friends. He is an upfront, honest and hardworking guy. He offered useful suggestions about what type of materials to purchase but was quite willing to work with whatever we went with in the end. He came on time and finished all of the work in the time he stated (2 weeks). He is a good craftsman and his work is meticulous. He also, very kindly, fixed our back door saying he couldn't stand it jamming every time he went in or out. The charges for his work were very reasonable. And, oh yes, the bathroom looks great!

David was easy to communicate with and got things done as scheduled. The project was finished on time. If he was running late on any day he always called to let us know. His budget was quite accurate (we chose to do much of the purchasing of fixtures, faucets, etc. ourselves).

David's design work was very good -- we really like the new layout. It would have been helpful to provide us with a more detailed drawing of it as I had to return light fixtures that were to go beside vanity mirrors. When we got to that point there was no room for them. However, it turned out better with over-the-mirror lighting anyway.

He had very good subs build the cabinets, install granite counters, install flooring and other tile work, and install new glass shower doors. He did an excellent job of scheduling them and supervising their work. We did the painting ourselves to save some money. David was flexible and worked with us to help cut costs where it would not affect the final outcome. He gave us good advice about where to cut costs and where not to. He had good attention to detail and followed up on every little thing to complete the job to our satisfaction. He is a good craftsperson and all the work he did directly was excellent quality.

The reason we selected David for this project, aside from recommendations from others, is that he appeared open to our input and this proved to be the case. He listened and incorporated our input about the design and checked with us on various decisions along the way.

We are very happy with our new bathroom! It went from being the ugliest room in the house to one of the nicest. Functionally and aesthetically all the choices were good.

There are no and quot;Do's and Don'ts with this contractor!! The story was told fully in above windo.
I didn't put the cost because I feel it is improper to ask!
