About us
Healey's Painting is a 35 year old company that has consistently emphasized strict attention to detail in preparation for painting. All projects are guaranteed to be thorough and complete with results that exceed customer expectations. Estimates are always included as part of the project pricing and customers should expect bids that reflect fairness to both Healey's Painting and themselves for "no surprise" results. A deposit, usually 1/3 to 1/2, is expected at the beginning of the project with a balance due upon completion or in progress payments depending on the length of the job. Our goal as a painting company is initial communication and quality results. At this time we accept cash or check.

We loved the finished product!
Curt estimated that it would take him 10 days to complete the job. He took 10.5 days. Pretty precise estimate, in my book. It was clear that he was not trying to juggle multiple jobs, to the expense of all. He spent the bulk of this time in prepping the house, which included pressure washing, sanding and scraping where needed, caulking, masking, priming, clearing back shrubbery, removing light fixtures, etc. He used very high quality Miller paint and the final results are simply outstanding. We have already had numerous compliments on the job from our neighbors and random passersby. Positives: 1) On the job each and every day and finished within 1/2 a day of his estimated time of completion; 2) cleans up as he goes so that by the the end of each day, you could not tell that he had been there at all, (other than the progress of the job); 3) very, very, very meticulous with an amazing eye for detail; 4) went above and beyond the original agreed to work, including taking every exterior light fixture, (including switch covers) home over the weekend and painting them in a complimentary dark bronze color that fitted the house color scheme very well; pressure washing the moss off the brick chimney and part of the cement back patio; fixing a recalcitrant back patio gate and garden shed doors; removing old telephone lines, painting the rooftop vent pipes, garden hose racks and other accessories in the same dark bronze as the light fixtures, ....etc., etc.; 5) very engaged and interactive, asking questions about what we wanted when it had not been previously discussed; offering professional advice as to how best to accentuate the architectural detail but still keeping it in character with the home without being too gaudy; 6) only top quality materials used; and 7) offering to come back to touch up any minor things that we both might have missed on the final walk through. Negatives: NONE! Miscellaneous comments: Curt, (and his brother David) epitomize what are rare qualities in this day and age: craftsmanship, professionalism and complete pride in what they do. It really shows. The old adage, "you get what you pay for" is utterly true. While he might be a slight bit higher than the typical "spray and run" painter, the quality of his work is so worth it. Since we would soon be moving, it was tempting for us to take a lower bid, but having pride in our home and wanting to make sure that whomever bought our house would not need to think about repainting it in five years (or less), led us to choose Curt. It was totally the right choice, even if we will only be able to enjoy the results for a few more short weeks. On top of all these superlatives, Curt and David are swell fellows....personable, thoughtful, funny, engaging and unflappably courteous. A job well done, and they get our highest recommendation! When our new home needs attention, Healey's Painting will be our first choice.(Plus he gives you really cool coffee mugs and ink pens when he finishes....)

"Member deserves a "mutual A grade" for making my job easy. I don't thank customers enough for her communication and trust. I am humbled that she took the time to respond to this forum. She may not know this, but when she takes time to compliment her workers like this, there is a tremendous positive influence on attitude and commitment to continued excellence. I can only pay this forward to my next customers and as a result improve the experience my customers have with my business. Thanks Member!"
"I'm thankful for the good words our customers use to describe our company! This forum should be used more often by companies to compliment their customers. I have always felt that a good company or employee willing to communicate "thankfulness" for the trust of a customer establishes an on-going relationship that benefits both customer and company. The member was referred by the good reports her father gave to us while we were working at Met One doing exterior painting of the building. He was a skilled custodian for that company and hired us after that job to paint his home (twice)! If we all look for the good in each other, we will find it. I'm thankful that they both looked for the good in us and trusted us with the task of taking their paint job personally. It was a pleasure to do our best work for them both!"
