They communicated very well, but were not able to solve the problem of false alarms despite several attempts that cost and gt;$200. The other services performed were satisfactory.

I had someone recommend them to me. I called them and got my car towed to the shop. They had the car for a few days and was able to pick up the car and drive home with it.

I switched mechanic for my car. They were highly professional. My car was making a weird sound and I had taken it to several mechanics at different places getting it repaired before. And the sound always comes back. But when the Gold guy looked at it, the sound did not come back since. So they fixed the problem. They are good and dependable.

I trust that The Gold Wrench will only do the things that need to be done. Their price, quality, responsiveness, and professionalism are excellent.

The experience was very good; they were professional and fixed it right away. However, they forgot to change the oil in my truck, as I previously had asked them to do, so they wanted to keep it overnight to do the next day but I told them I would do it later. They did the exhaust manifold work well but also forgot to do the oil change so throwing something extra at them caught them a little off guard.

Our 2001 Lexus RX300's check engine light and VSC light went on so we picked The Gold Wrench off of Angies list to have it checked out. We have 95K miles on the car and suspected the brakes needed doing but the car showed no signs of any issues while driving it. They couldn't get a conclusive code from the car on what the issue was. The code went out while in the shop so we decided to wait to see if it would go on again and had them service the transmission since it was there. My husband is a retired transmission man and this place was one of the few that dropped the pan when they serviced the transmission which is excatly what a shop should do to ensure the condition of your transmission. They performed the work and called us to tell us the engine light went on again and this time they got a good code off the cars computer telling us that an air sensor was out. So we had them perform the work and rotate the tires for us. They also checked our brakes and determined that we had plenty of brake life left and they told us that they didn't recommend us doing a brake job now. So our assement of the services is great! No hard sell on any of the fixes. We have piece of mind knowing they fixed the problem. The place is clean and organized, plenty of parking and easy to find. The people there are knowledgeable and honest and showed us our old parts that they replaced. My husband being in the automative services most of his life was very impressed with the whole operation there and said he has found his new mechanic now in this place which is a great recommendation coming from someone who is very automotive savy. They also told us that they use only products recommended by Lexus like the trany fluid they used on our car (very important if you want to extend the life of your car.We will send all our friends here now after this great experience.

They provided good service. It shows that they have a lot of experience. I would absolutely use them in the future.

They're wonderful and very conscientious. It's been a long time since I've been comfortable bringing my car to an auto mechanic. They always contact you before they do work.

Hottest day of the year I find my AC not working. I contacted Gold Wrench in Gladstone, OR because I had just recently had them service the truck for something else, along with general required maintenance. This second repair was just as satisfying as the first one was. The shop is clean and the gentleman who greets you is well groomed and cordial. Just like last time they prepared an estimate and called me with the details, the expected costs and possible options. Based on their phone call I was able to make a decision on what actions should be taken and they completed the work. AC has worked like new since the repair and the cost was about what I had expected based on the quoted work...replacing hoses, gaskets and recharging, etc. The local Ford garage has recently closed and I have had to find somewhere else get the Ranger worked on. For now, I think Gold Wrench will be the place. I hope this helps.

Our car was running badly so we took it to The Gold Wrench based on reports from Angies List and the service was prompt and fair. They didn't try to over sell us. We had the tune-up done on Monday and they suggested a timing belt based on a date sticker that showed it was way overdue, this is a Toyota (bullet proof) we had neglected because we could, so we took it back Thursday for the rest of the service. John and Jay are very personable guys, the place is clean ( a very good sign for me) the work is done right and the price is fair (everybody should win) This is our new place to go for both of our cars from now on.

They are astonishingly thorough and courteous. They are exceptionally honest. They re knowledge of the workings of a care is what sets them apart from other garages. They aren t the cheapest on the block.

Very good initial analysis of vehicle issues for $100. I like how they give me a number of what should be done first and what is less important and were honest about what needed work and what wasn't as important.

They worked on a DEQ problem she had. It involved a lot of computer work and they walked us through all the possible solutions. They were very polite and told us what we had to do to get it to pass the DEQ code. They were very helpful and I felt confident that they were looking out for our best interest and not trying to rip us off. I'll definitely use them again.

We felt like our SUV just wasn't running right. Jay and another mechanic drove it and tested it, and could find nothing wrong. They drove it and tested it the next day, and still couldn't find anything wrong. They could have said, "X, Y, and Z was wrong, and it will cost you this much money." But they didn't.

These guys are great, this is the second time our company has used them for repairs to our Ford Econoline vans. They are upfront with their repair pricing, and timely with the repairs.

This repair was done on a 91 Buick Regal in Jan 2006. I felt that their communication as to what specific work was to be done was very good and they called me to let me know the amount before they started. I liked the fact that they saved and showed me the old part that was replaced.

OUR COMPANY'S 2000 FORD ECONOLINE E-150 WAS ACTING UP RECENTLY TO THE POINT OF THE IDLE STICKING ON HIGH. I SEARCHED ANGIE'S LIST (SINCE WE ARE A MEMBER AS WELL) AND FOUND THE GOLD WRENCH. THE ONE REPORT LOOKED GREAT, SO WE SCHEDULED TO DROP THE VAN OFF FOR A DIAGNOSIS. EVERYTHING WENT GREAT, THEY STORED OUR VAN INSIDE THEIR SHOP TO PROTECT OUR EXPENSIVE TOOLS, CALLED THE NEXT DAY WITH A DIAGNOSIS AND WERE VERY UPFRONT REGARDING REPAIR PRICING AND THE TIMELINE OF REPAIRS. WE WILL USE THIS MECHANIC AGAIN FOR SURE.
