I would like to thank Aidan c, Jacob h, Joel r, Joseph w, Michael e, Michael l, Riko R from Mr. Rooter. They did an outstanding job fixing the issues with my 50 plus year old house. They kept me updated with all the extra issues that came up while fixing the problem that I called on. I know who to call if I ever need a plumber.

Quick, clean repair in a few hours from my call, on a Sunday afternoon.

They tried to sell me up too much. They charged $450 for 8 feet and I think it's a rip off.

I inquired for a 'toilet unclogger' on Angie's list. Immediately Mr. Rooter called me via Angie. They indicated they could dispatch a plumber soon, told me they do not charge for travel and charge by the hour. And, would give me an estimate before they started to unclog. I asked them to come. Plumber came on time, very pleasant. He looked at toilet and estimated $232 to fix. I assumed, as he was an experienced plumber...and I was not, that my clog would take at least 2-3 hours to get working, and maybe $232 for a big job was ok. So I agreed. He pulled out his computer and had me sign that I agreed to his estimate. Well, he was the expert and the job, according to him was a significant repair...foolishly, I signed. He got his tools from his truck, spent 8 to 10 minutes in the bathroom and announced he had fixed it. I, at that point, realized I had been screwed...big time, he was the expert and I was his mark...the dupe. I paid him and he left. He was on site less than 1/2 hour. Stupid me, I could have had this job done for about $75. I think the name of the company fit...I was 'Rooted' by a Rooter. I would never use this company again and would warn others to avoid the 'ROOTER', unless you want to also get rooted. A few days later a Rooter person called and asked did the 'fix' get done ok...I told her my thoughts about my Mr. Rooter experience, that I felt I had been screwed, big time, by her company. Apparently she passed my comments on to a manager of some sort. He called a few days later and tried to convince me that I should have been told they charge by the job not by the hour and that he felt their pricing was fair...I could only reply that, considering the 'plumber' was there for less than 1/2 hour, they must charge about $500 hour for their services. Our conversation ended about that point.

I just moved into a new-to-me house and, while putting things away I discovered a leak under my kitchen sink. I Googled for plumbers and Mr. Rooter's came up. I called. Unfortunately, they could not get anyone out that night and, fortunately I had figured out how to turn off the water to reduce the damage -so the delay was annoying, but not critical. I was put on the list for early the next morning. Mike Lindsey, the plumber, arrived at the house, looked at the problem, recommended a fix and an improvement at reasonable cost. So I took it. He also looked at another minor issue and then ran a check over the system to verify things were good. I have his recommendation for future improvements, too. i am happy with the work and will use them again.

This is my 4th or 5th time using Mr. Rooter of Portland. Each time I received a very high level of service, quality, and value. However I was remiss in submitting reviews. Friday afternoon at 1:30pm I called to request service to fix a water leak that had appeared on the wall side of the kitchen hot water cutoff valve. At 2:40pm I was notified that Brian was on his way. He arrived at 3:20. By 4:15 everything was fixed, cleaned up, and ship-shape. Brian provided an estimate to replace the offending cutoff valve, which I approved. He got right to work, and in the course of conversation we decided it was best to replace both 1970's era valves to avoid problems later. He did the work and honored his original estimate, basically charging me for one valve replacement instead of two. This is consistent with Mr. Rooter's other visits to my home. React fast, send a great person who happens to be an excellent plumber, quote a reasonable price, deliver more parts and service than expected, charge me the original quoted price. Over the last few years I've hired Mr. Rooter plumbers 4 or 5 times. Brian, Chris, and one other guy (sorry I forgot his name) all had the same helpful, professional, friendly attitude. All three got along well with my spazzy black lab. All three clearly explained the problems, possible solutions, and then delivered more service than expected. I will continue to hire Mr. Rooter for all my plumbing service needs.

Excellent service! We could not be more pleased. Very prompt, very professional and did an excellent job!! They gave us several repair options and obviously had our best interests at heart. We had an urgent need and the person in the front office went above and beyond to fit us into the schedule. I would recommend this company in a heartbeat!

We had some toilet issues. I don't remember the cost to be honest. Quality works.  They were very expensive.The only problem we had was it was extremely expensive, a lot more expensive than we thought it would be.

He was good. I don’t know that he was exceptional, but he was competent and he got the work done. And more importantly he was the only one available to come in and do the work. They have a good (price) gage. I don’t know what the standard is. He wasn’t the first person I called, but he was the first available.

Overall, Definitely an A. I would say that they very well took care of the house. It took about 2 days to complete the work. The best thing, they talked and told me everything was going to happen and every issue they had they came to me and offered a solution not just came up with the problem.

First off, Mr. Rooter responded to my internet message within 5 minutes of submission. The phone operator was very friendly and courteous. I called around 11 a.m. and the service professional "Trevor" was out to the property at 1:30 p.m. that same day. After explaining to Service Professional Trevor that I had had this drain personally and professionally snaked frequently over the past 10 years, Trevor suggested a more thorough cleaning known as HydroScrub Jetting (registered trademark). Therefore, following a routine snaking to clear an opening, the HydroScrub procedure was performed (basically, a snake with small pressure washing jets at the tip) and I saw evidence of grease and particles at my floor drain (i.e. Trevor ran snake thru a nearby clean-out) that were chunky and smelly. The procedure took at least 1 1/2 hours. Trevor cleaned up the area the best he could and finished his work with a sewer scope at the outside of my property. We ran a hose at the clean-out thru the 70+ year old sewer pipe (over 105 feet to the street from my old house) and, thankfully, things looked pretty clear. Trevor also provided me with a bottle of a Mr. Rooter enzyme to periodically treat the heavily used drains in my home. He was professional and courteous and I feel I finally got a thorough cleaning of my drain pipe for my money (plus 1-year warranty).

Fixed it and also where it connected with bathtub drain.

I think the price is reasonable. I will continue to use them.

Thinking Mr. Rooter would be the first place everyone would call, I instead called, no joke, 12 different companies and not one was able to give us an appointment any earlier than two weeks out. When I called Mr. Rooter (lucky number 13), it was out of desperation and I was sure I'd hear the same story of snow/ice/traffic/get you on the list in 2018. But, I was instead very pleasantly surprised. Not only was Mr. Rooter one of the only companies willing to take our case, they got to us within just a few hours of my initial call. Within the day they had everything repaired and were on their way. I feel like the cost of the service was towards the high end of spot repairing a pipe but, I was happy to pay a premium for being able to shower again within 24 hours, especially when no other company would even come out. From here on, for any plumbing issues Mr. Rooter will be our first call instead of our last one.

It was absolutely perfect.

I have used them before, I find that they are very professional. I have a service contract with them also. They come out and don't charge me extra if I have to use them on a Sunday or Saturday. They use their little booties to make sure that they don't leave a mess. They clean up after themselves and they are very nice. I get discounts too and sometimes coupons in the mail from them.
