Our freezer was no longer defrosting properly, and ice was plugging up the conduit that channeled cool air into the refrigerator. The refrigerator, therefore, was no longer cold. I called Howe's because I had used them before for other problems. Apparently, they are now under new ownership, but I am at least as happy with service under the new owners. The woman on the phone asked me what the problem was and offered me a window of time for the next day when the repair man could come out. That time was impossible, so she squeezed me into a shorter, earlier window. The man, who is the new owner of the business, showed up within that time window, was friendly, quick, and had the part with him that was needed to fix the problem. The whole thing probably took less than twenty minutes, and the refrigerator is working perfectly.

Our dishwasher died Friday night of course. Why is it always on a weekend? I called Monday morning and got an appointment for 1:00 Tuesday afternoon. Robert called at around 11:00 and asked if he could come early as he was running ahead of schedule. That worked great for me, He came promptly, found the problem quickly. He's always friendly and helpful. We love this guy! We use them for all our appliance repairs. So far it's been the dishwasher, washer, oven, and fridge.

My washing machine quit spinning. I called up Howe's and explained to them what was wrong. They sent someone out the same afternoon. The repairman, Robert, diagnosed the problem, called someone at Howe's to locate and price the parts. He left to get the parts, came back the same day, and did the repair. He noticed that there was liquid soap spilled under the washing machine and said he would clean it up before he put the machine back in place. He didn't, but I'll live. They told me to call if there were any issues. Fortunately, there have been no issues.

Went well. Problem got fixed, cost was less than expected.

We called Howe's to replace the rubber door seals, which were discolored from mold. While doing the work, I told John the washer shook and was noisy when on high speed spin. John diagnosed the problem as worn springs and shocks. He made a second trip to install the springs; and a third trip when we reported there was still noise at high speed spin. There was no charge for the repeat visits.

It was an old range, and new parts were not available. He made the parts. The whole experience was satisfactory.
