Great service! Called in the morning and got same day service. Jay was a very nice man and fixed my problem right away.

Here's the problem with Bentley: They do excellent, meticulous work and I have absolutely no complaints about what they've done. I'd use them all the time...except they're almost impossible to get hold of and they apparently don't like doing estimates. I'm remodeling my home because I now live in a wheelchair and needed a lot of ADA-type modifications. I built a shed out back that needed its own subpanel, wiring, and lighting, I needed to replace the main electrical panel in the house, have washer/dryer outlets installed in the top floor, add lights in many spots, replace electrical outlets that another electrician had removed, and update the electrical in a remodeled bathroom. My contractor walked Jay through the house and showed him what needed to be done (I was in hospital at the time), and after some additional back and forth Bentley came to the house and started the wiring and electrical panel projects. That was great, but no one had given me an estimate for approval; they just started. I approved retroactively, wondering what it would wind up costing me. I talked to Jay at that point, asking him to forward estimates for the rest of the work. He said he would, but I never received them. That was in May. I found that while his crew was here they were open, friendly, extremely competent and did a great job...but once they left, good luck getting them back. It took several weeks for them to return to finish up conduit and such so the contractors could pave the area. Asked for estimates several times more, by email or phone, and always when ...and two months later, I'm still waiting. I finally heard from them over the weekend--my check for the original work apparently had gone astray and they needed another--and asked again for estimates. This time I heard from Jay--he didn't have the estimates, thought his other electrician might, and he would get back to me. He was scheduling in late August (it's mid-July now). We have been waiting on Jay&crew to set up electrical in the new laundry room so that I can safely and comfortably live mostly upstairs (right now I must negotiate two flights of stairs to do laundry). It's mid-July; he finally said today that he was scheduling in late August. That means that I'll have nearly six more weeks of being unable to live safely in my home, hemorrhaging money for contractors...and I STILL don't have an estimate for the work. As much as I love the quality of your work, guys, I just can't afford to keep waiting.

I couldn't be more pleased. I got the referral from my long-time handyman (and also checked here). As a single woman I am always nervous having significant work done in my home and I always look for personal referrals. I can't stress their professionalism. Mr. Bentley was clear and upfront about costs, and extremely helpful in suggestions. The crew that came out were also professional and helpful. I asked questions along the way, and received some really useful tips and suggestions -- without ever feeling pressured. The woman electrician on the crew was straight-on professional, helpful, and gave me options I wasn't aware of. Even their tall panel trucks were immaculate! They, likewise, left the area clean and spotless. As I said before, I couldn't be more pleased: honest, competent, and the price was quite reasonable for the extensive work done. I would recommend them without reservation.

Great job! Very professional and friendly. I would gladly have Jay and his crew do work for me again. Too bad all contractors don't do business like Bentley Electrical.

I needed someone to come out and check the panel before the long weekend. The owner of the company accommodated to my schedule and was able to send someone out. Patrick came out a little later than originally planned on, but the owner was in contact with me and explained that the job he was on was taking a little longer than expected. I appreciated him staying in contact with me and explaining the delay. Both he and Patrick called, and both were very (unnecessarily ) apologetic for the delay. The system was tested out, and as expected, it was "operator error". Patrick explained how to re-set the circuit breaker (we were not completely disengaging before re-setting) and also checked to make sure all the systems were working before leaving. He was courteous and professional.

I would use Bentley Electric Inc again.

Excellent on all levels. Punctual, offered advice, answered questions as well as listened to customers wishes. Work was very professional. Took pride in his craftsmanship. Cleaned up after job completed & even separated the refuse into recyclable & trash. Patrick did a great job. Would hire again &/or recommend to a friend.

Bentley Electric is a small company located in Gaston, OR. The owner is Jay Bentley and he was recommended by another contractor in the area. Jay came to our home and reviewed what needed to be done and how the process would proceed. Jay called within a few days and told me that Patrick would be coming out to do the work. I don't know exactly what professional electrical work means, but Patrick was thoughtful, communicative, and thorough. He did this work quickly and the final cost was considerably less that the initial bid. 
BTW, I went outside to get the mail and was shocked to see the Bentley Electric van. It was so washed and cleaned that it looked new. To me, the condition of the vehicle says a ton about the workmanship of the contractor.

Excellent work. Jay Bentley and his qualified electrician daughter Emily are great to work with. Emily is not a bit timid doing this work and can do it just as good as any man! Jay and Emily are friendly and professional. They show up on the day and time agreed to and do the work efficiently and professionally.

Extremely well. Despite my less than complete or clear explanations as to the problems, Jay got someone over the same day, in about 3 hours. The technician, Emily, was outstanding. She was patient with my ignorance and walked me through the problems. She was quick and got everything resolved in under an hour. I only wish I had more electrical issues so I could hire them again. Highly recommended.

He responded the morning after emailing him from Angies List.  He showed up mid day and fixed the issue.  He was professional and well priced.  I would recommend Bentley Electrical to anyone.  

Patrick systematically tested each outlet until he located and fixed the switch that was causing the problem.

We purchased a house built in 1950 which needed some upgrades to say the least. Jay and his crew appropriately moved and upgraded our electrical panel and amp. to safely allow for continued upgrades to our home. (Air conditioning etc.) In addition, he made desired improvements to our outlets and wiring throughout our house. Out of all of the proposals we received Bentley provided the most detailed. Electrical is not something to mess around with and use "just anyone". Jay and his team were very professional, knowledgable, and we would definitely hire them again for any electectrical needs. All aspects of the project went very well once they had time. (Bentley Electric is highly regarded and very busy.)

Everything went great, from initial visit assessing the job, to completion of the work itself, we couldn't be happier. We were eager to get the hottub wiring done and also had multiple other projects to assess, having just moved into a house that lacks overhead lighting in several rooms. I called several electricians and the hottub company ultimately recommended one, and as a result actually got bids from four sources, far more than I'd typically do, it just worked out that way. Some couldn't even come bid for a couple weeks and one was not interested in doing anything but the hottub, which would only partially serve our needs, and his price for that alone was nearly as much as we paid Bentley for their entire job. Of the four electricians, I was most comfortable with Bentley Electric given their promptness in coming to bid, advice/approach to the work, availability and price. We are very pleased with the work completed to date and will be scheduling more for after the first of the year.
