Contractor had been recommended by HOA to replace sidewalks in our development and would be able to give price breaks if he could consolidate jobs. I contacted Mr. Dull to see if he would like to bid on my little job. After a very brief visit and a look at the project, he quickly gave me a verbal quote of $2,000. He justified the expense by stating he would need to tear out part of the existing pad and re-pour it along with the new portion. I was taken back by his price and decided I did not want to put that kind of money into the project. I proceeded to get additional quotes from contractors on Angie's list with many years in the business, Super Service Awards and recent A grades. The written bids were considerably less than Dull Construction's. The written bid I settled on was $580. This contractor explained to me how he would set and pour the job. I was completely satisfied the new pad provided by this contractor would have the same or better structural integrity as Mr. Dull claimed his would.
Description of Work: Set and pour approximately 11' x 2' RV pad extension with curb at back.
