I hired this company to remove the dingy dirty looking popcorn texture from my newly purchased 1970s home and retexture the ceilings. Mr. Best came out and gave me a quote on site, no waiting. His team was able to start the job the very next Monday. He warned me in advance that they would need to take down all ceiling mounted light fixtures, but would not be able to rehang (which I agreed to). The team worked quickly and the end result was beautiful... it looks like a different house. My only complaint was that their clean up job was not great. I had to clean ceiling texture material off of lots of surfaces, but this would not keep me from hiring them again. Their work is superb and reasonably priced.

The work went very well. Irwin completed the work exactly when he said he would, and the final product was perfect. Work area was protected well (including new cabinets that he had to work around), and he took care not to mess up my spot lights with texture by covering them with some paper. Cleaned up well when finished. His price was quite competitive, and I doubt we'd bother calling anyone else for future drywall work (provided he's available).

Arrived on time. Protected all exposed surfaces and appliances. Excellent fit and finish.

Mr. Best came over - we got his name from our kitchen carpenter. He looked at the work needed and gave us a quote which was SO reasonable we couldn't believe it. on the appropriate day, he and his workers came over and completed the kitchen walls. the next day they came over to finish the walls and then we painted them. Seamless from start to finish.

Overall, this was a positive experience. Our goal was to achieve an updated, smooth wall surface instead of the standard orange peel texture before we moved in. Irwin and his team, which includes his well-mannered son, did just that in less than a weeks time. I say a week's time because my dear husband had turned off the heat, which is required for drying, since we were still living in our rental (oops! Irwin told me, I forgot to tell hubby).
By the time they were done, the walls were perfectly flawless and the 4 mm deep seam was essentially gone. Sure, after primer and two coats of paint, there's a very fine hairline crack that barely gives hint to what lies beneath but it's only 1/3 of the length and hardly noticeable. We had no delusions about the outcome of the seam, but the work absolutely exceeded our expectations.
Irwin is a straightforward, no-nonsense kind of guy. If you have drywall issues, he's your man. This is our first home and the work was worth every penny.

We absolutely love the work that I Best did in our kitchen. We were very concerned about the patches in the sheetrock being visible. The original walls had not been textured, so after all the patching and taping was done, they textured the walls in the entire kitchen, family room and hallway. It looks wonderful. But the best part was the patching Irwin did on the brocade ceiling. When the closet and the two walls came out, that left huge holes in the ceiling with no sheetrock. There were also holes in the ceiling where the old light fixtures had been. Irwin patched the ceiling and marched the brocade exactly. You absolutely cannot tell where the patching is. If we had had to completely re-sheetrock the kitchen and family room, it would have cost us thousands. This only cost us $800. It was worth every penny.

The crew was professional and quick. They protected the floor and other things in the rooms, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were finished. We are very impressed and would recommend I Best Drywall for any drywall work!

Everything looks great. You absolutely cannot tell where any of the patching is or where the brocade ceiling was patched! Irwin is a master craftsman! They were prompt, courteous, and left the worksite spotless! I think the price was very reasonable considering how much work we had done. They were highly professional and I would hire them again in an instant!

His crew showed up promptly, taped off all surfaces to protect them, and worked extremely efficiently. The house had textured walls and ceiling, and they floated the whole thing. Now I have smooth walls and ceiling, and you can't tell that it was ever textured. Superb job, superb communication, and I highly recommend them to anyone seeking professional levels of service. This is the second project for which I have hired Irwin, and have had no problems.

His work was very good. The finished job looks great. He was careful to avoid soiling rugs and furniture. He was prompt and his price was exactly as he estimated.

They arrived promptly and completed the work quickly on the first day, doing an excellent job of matching the "knockdown" texture on the ceiling and repairing the wall. They even did a bit extra work on the wall to try and improve the job done by the amateurs. Unfortunately, a few bubbles appeared in the ceiling overnight and the portion of amateur job which they had not worked on showed cracks. They happily returned the next morning and quickly repaired the bubbles, textured the knock down, and fixed the amateur error - all at no additional charge. The only issue was the texturing they did on the small wall - it did not blend with the old texture so the painters had to re-texture the entire wall so that the repaired area blended in.

Irwin Best promptly returned our phone inquiry and arrived to do an estimate. The work was started when he said. It took longer to complete the work then we were originally told, but we were extremely pleased with the results. He made our basement truly look like an extension of the main floor, complete with round corners. The price was very reasonable. Our only complaint was they did not do a good job cleaning up after themselves, but we would definitely recommend them to others.
