Being a family owned business gives us the ability to work directly with our customers and establish a personal relationship with them. It went well, as the technician worked steadily throughout the time of his visit. I assisted him with a couple of items pertaining to an outlet installation that involved him crawling around in our very low-clearance crawl space and my assistance was well received. A & J Electric was very highly recommended to us by a former customer and we chose them also because they are located in the same town we live in. They appear to be so highly regarded that their order file is extended out for weeks. Accordingly, we waited over a month for an appointment, but I would do so again, as I believe that good people are worth waiting for.

The electrician found that the job was easier than first thought. The charge was $170. It is not very often that you get a company that comes in under their estimate.

A and J electric is a pleasure to work with. Leeanne at the office is very nice! The work A and J electric had done by Jose and helper was excellent. Jose was extremely personable, helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Seems like he's been doing this for a while! Thank you guys for the amazing work! Highly recommend. I will always be using A and J for all my electrical needs. :)

Leeann at the front desk is incredibly responsive and professional in helping get our questions answered and schedule someone to come out. The rep that came to the house was the same and really knew his stuff. I appreciated that when all was said and done they were quick to provide the requested information. I will definitely use this company again!

Hey a an j is easy to work with. They have good telephone support for scheduling and all the electricians who come into my house are very clean and pleasant and more importantly they get the job done and they do it right.

I had a very good experience from start to finish with A&J Electric. They returned phone calls promptly, arrived at the appointed hour, etc. Shawn explained everything he was doing. He was very knowledgeable and very professional. He answered questions about a couple of other items as well.

I've used them for the last couple of years. I've used them more extensively this past year. I had a combination of fuse and breakers in my home, and they changed it to just breakers. In the process of making my house look good to sell, I've had them change out all of outlets, switches and plugs. I like them so much that they are working on my new home currently.

It went great. Excellent communication, prompt visit to give quote. We accepted their quote and they scheduled work appointment for after parts would be delivered. The work was done all in one day to minimize the time our power would be out. Worker was professional and friendly. Very good experience.

They are very good. I worked specifically with Nick and he was extremely flexible with time and he got quite a lot of work done in a short amount of time. I have used them multiple times in the future.

He found that there was no problem with the wiring or Recirculation Pump and informed us that the pipes going to pump are clogged. So we will call a plumber again. He was very helpful.

he couldn't fix the issue of the fireplace not turning on because of the switch. told me to contact gas company instead. he worked for a very long time trying everything he could.

They did an excellent job. Bees shorted the power meter base and we were without power. Within one hour of my call they were on site addressing the situation. Within 2 hours repair work started and was completed the same day. By 8 PM PGE installed a meter and we had power once again. Very responsive and friendly people. Will definitely use A and J Electric again if needed.

In response to their response: The inspection report stated that all wet outlets should be tested to ensure proper functionality, this would have included the non-working GFCI, I'm not sure why they didn't perform this during their inspection prior to their bid. I'd also like to clarify that the poor quality GFCIs mentioned above were NOT installed by Aand J, but by the previous owners. I still believe that if they would have done a more thorough inspection for their bid, these issues would have been resolved much easier as I would have had them repair all the problems.

"I think there may have been some information that was not passed onto the member. After the project was complete the member's brother contacted us regarding 1 GFCI outlet that was not working. Our bid was to replace standard outlets with GFCI's in the required locations. There were some locations that already had GFCI's installed. The GFCI that was not working was an existing GFCI. Our electrician saw that there was already a GFCI outlet installed there and never touched it. We do not use the cheapest quality GFCI's. We use the Leviton brand. Our bid did not include checking existing devices or troubleshooting any existing problems. We were given a home inspection report and told to only bid what was on the report. The non-working GFCI was not in the inspection report. When the member's brother contacted us he told us that he was an electrician and he had already replaced the GFCI himself but that it still was not working. The problem was not a faulty device, but something else, perhaps a loose connection in another outlet, a cut wire or something along those lines. We gave him a few suggestions and told him to let us know if he would like us to return to repair the problem. After that, we did not hear back from the member or his brother so we assumed that he had found the problem."
