From the day the owners signed the papers until the day they were out of the contract there were many conflicts as to what was done and what wasn't done to the house and the price that was being charged for what really wasn't being done.
Description of Work: Chinook was to manage the property because owner moved to Columbia in 2008. The property, building, yard, trees and weeding went downhill from the time the owner left. The owner got billed for yard maintenance that wasn't done. The deck wasn't kept up by the management company. The house in general went downhill. I took over the management of this property this year just after summer and spent weeks getting the yard and deck back into order so that we could put a new couple into the house. I would not recommend this company to anybody. The management person at the company was very rude when I went to talk about bills that were charged for lawn maintenance and the maintenance wasn't done. I know this because I live just down the street from the property in question.

After over 31 days we received a letter stating unspecific "excessive" damage to wall with a charge of $994, and "broken counter top formica" for $150. Upon producing our own photos of the wall damage the charge was reduced to $350. We received the unit with the damage to the formica and have asked that that charge be reduced. We have contacted the Landlord several times via email to ask that charges be reduced further as these are still excessive. The response was that we weren't going to receive any satisfaction, no matter what was done. Please do not do business with Chinook!
Description of Work: Leased a townhouse for a year, moved out with 30 day notice and on time, left the unit in good condition.

Response from Chinook Property Management
Damage was done to many walls. Tenant attempted to repair by using large amounts of spackle. This spackle was not sanded nor painted. Repair required professional painters to first sand, re-texture and paint. A portion of the painting was changed to counter top. If tenant can show proof that this was pre-existing, we will refund charges. We have photos of tenant applied spackle.
