I was totally impressed by this simple looking lady who was very professional and accurate.  I thought I knew what inseam they needed but Cindy wasn't very satisfied with this simple instruction, she wanted me to try them on "because not all pants or trousers will require the same inseam.  She was right, I was over an inch off.  What impressed me the most was what she showed me while I was there.  Other huge projects of every kind!  Her honesty also touched me.  She had one set of brand new lined overall's that had gotten ripped open the first time the gentleman had worn them.  She pretty well knew the price of the overalls and was going to let them know that she could fix them, however the damage was in a place that had ripped open the layers around the waist and closure making it virtually impossible to fix without reconstructing the whole main part of the garment.so it would probably be in their best interest to purchase another pair rather than invest in fixing the already weakened ones.  This is a small town and she is now my go-to person for all things needing alteration from suits to elegant clothing.

Also what impressed me was the fact that I needed them fast and she "fit" them in so I could get them on time.  Unfortunately I got sick and the urgency went away but by the time I let her know, she had finished them!  She even offered to bring them to me which was about a 30 mile round-trip.  As I wasn't going to need them and it was close to Christmas I sent her a check for the agreed upon price and one day she left them out on her porch all wrapped up, for me to pick up at my leisure.

Same issue this year and I will definitely get them to her to hem.  Straight legs are one thing, but all this new "stretch" material and tapered legs on pants makes it far more difficult than just a simple whip-stich hem that most women can do at home.
