Within the first week, I could tell they were not all that responsive, it took a couple days to return emails when requesting info on their quote. I just figured that was due to volume. Once we requested the contract to get going, everything seemed fine. We signed the contract, got it back to them and then waited for dry weather for them to do the work. The first day, I left a check under the front door mat and got a call from their desk lady who had told me he left some stuff there that he needed, it happened to be down on the ground off the front deck, and that he had misplaced the check I left him and they needed me to give them another...made me very nervous....she called me back later and told me he found it...but really? You are going to make your client nervous like this? Then there was some miscommunication on the type of stain we wanted on the back deck, I said clear but I guess what I was suppose to say was transparent, unfortunately they never explained this to me or counseled me on this. The front porch ended up being much darker than we had wanted...we said as close to the front porch as possible (which was a redwood color)...it ended up being deep/dark brown. When I called them...I had to ask if they had done the back deck yet. They had, with clear, which showed everything on the back deck, including spots that had been missed. While I take part of the blame for my verbiage saying "clear," I'm not a professional and wished there had been more communication around this on their end. She called me back and said she had good news, if we wanted it to be fixed, we could buy the stripper, and they would strip for free... and they would re-do the back deck at a lower cost then before (because they didn't want a dissatisfied client)...I never heard back from them. Then the worst part, I got very upset about this. When walking around the house, I found at least 20 cigarette butts left by the crew, in my grass, on the side of my house, on the front brick out cropping, on my back cement patio...I still can't believe this. That just showed me utter disrespect and that they really didn't care about this job. I sent a text to their coordinator after seeing this...I have given a month for her to respond to this...and have never heard anything. I am in sales and I know that word of mouth is huge, you can't make it without referrals. I would never refer this group to anyone and I would in fact tell them NOT to use them. I wish it was different, I like to give people chances to make up for mistakes but I haven't heard a peep back. How can it even be remotely ok with them to litter our entire yard of cigarette butts and expect not to hear this type of review? Had they done well with this, we could have referred them so much business...instead...this. On top of the aforementioned, our deck has black rails on them...they didn't bother to clean these and they were speckled with the wood stripped by pressure washing, also, the front windows and front of the house was littered with the same type wood scrapings...I had to wipe all this down myself. Not sure if they had a vendetta against us or what the deal was but come on...a little professionalism? We ended up having to get the house pressure washed because of their mess.
