I purchased the home thinking I could have a new roof put on for the bid price. I knew it needed a new roof right away. I called within a week of the bid and said I wanted to go ahead with the project, as per the instructions on the estimate- it said to call when you are ready to set a date. They dropped off color samples and I picked a color. They said they would start on the next sunny day. Two days later the sun was out and I got a call. They said they mis bid the job and instead of $3800 it was $6800. They would not honor their bid. I offered to split the difference, but they said they had to eat (appearantly I don't have to). We then agreed on a new price based on less expensive tiles. Then they canceled the job, they simply refused to do it because they would not make any money.
