Everything went great. I went back and forth on giving an A or B for price because his price was fair (not out of line) but not 'cheap'. I settled for an A there because he was good wrt price and the quality of his work was excellent. Bottom line - he's a skilled man, and a good man.

Robin of A Helping Hand has provided us with excellent advice on several projects for our home.  He also helped our daughter deal with an emergency problem at our house with a leak when we were gone.  He has set up several referrals with service providers such as plumbers, and he has not billed us for his time or services.  We will be contracting with Robin when we begin doing the remodeling on our house.

The service exceeded our expectations. We expected to pay about $300.00 to have the gutters cleaned, and we were so surprised by Robin's prices and service. He has high quality people work for him that are very service oriented at attentive to our concerns. The job had to be performed at 2 different times due to the need of a longer ladder. The gentlemen left their business card and a note when they came to fix the second part of the job, and we were gone. The gutters are cleaned, and we have a new connection with a company that we will seek out as we have further repair needs in our home.

This was a large, multi-part job:  major bathroom and partial basement remodel, major plumbing, electrical, flooring, drywall, tiling.  

The job was complicated by the main floor bathroom being so small which made bringing in a pre-fab shower very difficult.  I didn't want to expand the bathroom too much but wanted a larger shower.  Eventually, we decided that tiling the shower would give me the space I wanted and ended up not costing much more than it would have to install a pre-fab shower.

The plumbing was an urgent issue.  To completely re-plumb the house from stem to stern was a complex job and major undertaking. 

Robin patiently gathered all my requests over a period of time and then reviewed the plan in detail before starting the job.  Robin takes pride in doing great work and also has great subcontractors that he oversaw and coordinated well.  There were some delays due to severe stormy weather but the finished work is excellent.  Importantly, he also cleaned-up well when the job was done.

It's all beautiful, solid work and the best shower I've ever had!

I contacted Robin first via e-mail and he was able to go inspect the house and provide a thorough assessment of issues that needed to be addressed and how best to prioritize them.   I then arranged to meet Robin and he took his time explaining the work that he recommended.  He encourages the use of quality material to minimize future materials/labor costs, but did offer less costly options.  I chose the higher quality materials, so considering this, I feel the cost of the whole job was very fair.   He and his crew completed the job on time and cleaned up after themselves.
I definitely plan to hire Robin for other projects.

We have a rental home in Depoe Bay. We've had difficulty finding reliable, professional contractors and repair people at the coast. The tenants notified us that the dishwasher was not working well, and after we'd had it evaluated by a local appliance repair person, we decided to install a new one. The appliance repair company agreed to do install but would not pick up the dishwasher from Sears, and seemed reluctant to install. The local appliance stores charge quite a lot for delivery and installation. Sears in Newport would not deliver or install and their recommended installer only works as far north as Newport. Our tenants mentioned Robin Crum, their former landlord, and with one phone call I could tell Robin would do good work. He told me he can fix anything on a home, and I asked him an electrical question -- he solved the problem immediately with one sentence and saved me the cost of having an electrician go out to the property for a simple problem!! Robin picked up our dishwasher at Sears, took it to the property, installed the new dishwasher and disposed of the old dishwasher for a very reasonable fee of $145. He did a professional job and I am quite sure we'll use his services again.
