I have had Steve off and on for many years to care for my lawns. I have moved a few times so service was interrupted (once was in association and lawn care included). I now live in Clackamas county and not only are routine services (mow, fertilize, etc.) but at times, such as fall the gardeners prep the lawn and shrubs for winter. One house, Steve maintained the sprinkler system. I have known and used Steve for years. would recommend him.

It went great.  He did a great job and the yard looked wonderful when he left.

The owner first visited the construction site in November the previous year to look at the job. Construction was ongoing. He made himself available to start in January, however we were not ready to start. In February the company arrived to begin the grading and get the list of plantings. The initial job took just 2 days and the crew worked relentlessly  while here. The work is scheduled to resume in April with the back and side yards following completion of outdoor construction. The owner is approachable and prompt returning phone calls. He gave us the best price of 4 bids submitted. His company has also done much work with our contractor and came highly recommended by our contractor.

Trimming down the ground cover on the corner went fine. It had grown so tall that it was obstructing sight lines for cars at the intersection. I was happy with that part. As for weeding, I don't know any company that actually pulls or digs up weeds. Most poison them and then rake them away later, or cover them with fabric or cardboard and then bark chips or dust . They just scraped them away with rakes, basically, removing their tops. The bark dust wasn't coming for another couple of weeks, by which time the weeds were coming back. I had the owner come over and spray the emerging weeds. The bark dust then covered most of the weeds, but some are starting to pop through. Perhaps because my yard was SUCH a mess I am expecting too much.
I recommend being there when the workers come. The problem is, the owner comes out and surveys everything and works up an estimate, but then he isn't part of the team that comes to do the work. He didn't take pictures. So I felt like I had to be there to explain everything. Even then, I would look out the window while they were working, and I would run out to stop them from doing something I didn't want done. I told them to knock on the door and ask me if they were unsure about things, but they didn't do that. I had to be watching.
The next 2 visits (which were just one hour each) were to take care of the lawn and to do more weeding. I was out of town. Over the phone I had discussed with the owner that the north side of our backyard was almost totally weeds. It would need to be sprayed on the first visit, then the dead weed tops removed on the 2nd visit. I didn't get this in writing. The spraying didn't happen. They got an amazing amount of weeding and lawn care done in only 2 hours total, but 2 weeks later all the weeds were back. I emailed the owner and told him I was unhappy. He said he would come over sometime and spray the weeds on the northside. To my knowledge, he hasn't done that.
The 2 workers were very hard-working and pleasant and courteous. I enjoyed them being around. I just can't pay $95/hour every 2 weeks for people to come and remove the tops of my weeds. I hate spraying, but many of the weeds are in rocky areas. Also, the owner, Steve, couldn't be a nicer guy. Part of the miscommuication could be my fault, I was having to be out of town a lot on a family health emergency, so my mind was distracted.

They have ruined my lawn in the time that I've had them doing work. I had a nice, thick lawn when I started using their services. Now, my lawn is thin. I can't get them to treat the weeds, and my back yard is being taken over by them. Steve has not been responsive to my requests--I contacted him and he said that maybe we should just stop doing business. I am beginning to think he's right. He'll come out and look, but nothing happpens. He just doesn't get it.

We were entirely pleased with Steve and his company. The work was great, reasonably priced, and performed promptly. Steve was also an excellent communicator.

Overall I would rate this company high and would definitely use them again. In fact I'm planning on expanding the landscaping to another part of the yard and will be calling them when I'm ready.

Steve was very responsive by phone and email. He's knowledgeable, trustworthy and easy to work with. Didn't try to upsell me, gave great advice and taught me about some of the plants in my yard.

I don't think he understood what I was asking him to do. I tried to explain to him what I wanted and he didn't get it. I would recomend him to anyone.

I hired Surise to do clean up of my parents' yard and monthly landscaping. He was incredibly prompt about returning my calls and providing information. He went out and met my elderly parents and they really liked him. They are hard of hearing, so I made arrangements with him over the phone concerning timing, etc. He was very considerate about their schedule and they were so pleased that his team showed up when they said they would and did really good work.

Stellar! They did a great job. Checked with us about details and questions they had as they worked to make sure their performance measured up to our expectations. We courteous, and very responsive. I plan to continue using them for maintenance work.

Steve and his crew came out installed system and sod, set the timer, made sure that everything worked well. They were great!!

We were very pleased with the work that Sunrise Landscape performed. Steve was the person that we were working with and he was very professional and the work that was done was excellent. He and his crew were on time and the yard looks great. We will for sure use them again.

Steve was very professional and prompt in arriving for the bid as well as getting the work done. The project was finished within a few days from time of call to completion. And I had other bids from top rated angieslist companies and this company came in half the price of the others.
