We brought Chris in to consult on our DIY sanding to get us ready to bring him in to varnish and he was so knowledgeable we immediately knew we should have him do all the sanding too, he is incredibly professional and took our floors from tired and mismatched to beautiful and glowing, we are so happy! We were so fortunate he had the time to come start on our project right away and he was so fast! It looks like a brand new floor and it was worth it to have a true professional do every step, not just the varnish. Thank you Chris!

Chris came recommended to me from a reputable flooring company in Beaverton as we were trying to save our red oak floors. When I consulted with him, he offered expertise on some floor repair and patiently worked with me on achieving an updated natural look. Cris' communication was extremely poor and scheduling was a nightmare. For months after he sent an estimate, he didn't answer my calls or emails. We finally set something up for 2 days after Christmas. He asks me to call and remind him on Christmas Day! Aren't there calendars for that? The next day I try to call him twice to get a plan and nothing. The following day he calls at 7:45 am. I call back 40 minutes later and he says he can no longer do the job because he has to go to another job. We reschedule for the following day. He says he can be there around 8:30 or 9. Calls at 9:09 saying he'll be there in 30 minutes. Texts me I'm here At 9:47 and he says he can't wait any longer at 9:52. He kept mentioning this other big job he had to go to as to why he couldn't do my job. He doesn't schedule, can't communicate, needs you to bend over backwards to fit in his schedule, and probably just isn't interested in repair jobs. Only wants installs. He installed our floor originally and it's decent work. Our transition strips broke in less than 6 months but otherwise decent. Just won't come to fix two boards that are warped after 2 years.

We hired Chris and his company Portland Hardwood Flooring as part of a remodel project for our new house in Northwest Portland (Forest Heights neighborhood). He quickly came out to provide an estimate, and explained how he could refinish existing wood and replace carpet with new wood. We were impressed with Chris's knowledge and appreciated him pointing out various imperfections in the existing wood, some of which could be fixed and others which could not. Chris worked his schedule around our other remodel contractors, and completed the project by the time we moved into the house. The wood floor is beautiful and we appreciate the attention to detail. Cris' knowledge of wood and flooring is second to none - I've used him twice in my home and I won't use anyone else. He did an incredible job laying a brand new hardwood floor upstairs, then he repaired and patched the downstairs flooring before refinishing the whole floor. I don't think the floor of my home has ever looked this good in its life.

He did a good job. He has excellent skills and is very talented.
