We got at least 3 other bids on doing the same work last year (siding, basement wk) as well as for the fence (this year). Although his bids aren't highly detailed, Andrew always was very competitive price-wise and came with the bonus of a firm recommendation that he was honest, hard working and fast. At the time, we were expecting our first child and wanted to get all this work done before he was born - avoiding hammering with a newborn around sounded like a good idea. Anyways, once the work started, Andrew was very efficient, hired good sub-contractors for electrical, plumbing, sheet-rock, etc and oversaw their work closely. It all came together really well - the house looks charming with it's new siding and the basement is fantastic ... great natural lighting during the day and will no doubt be a good hide-away during the heat of summer. When we recently decided to put up a new fence to prevent our dog from hopping out every day, we decided to call Andrew after getting a few other bids. As was the case last year, he gave a good price and started quickly. We now get compliments on our house by neighbors and friends and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Andrew as a general contractor to anyone.
