Monday morning he showed up and started working without notifying me that he was at the property. I heard power equipment in my driveway and saw Jody cutting out the driveway. When the cutting stopped, I went out to look at the work. Jody said he forgot to put rebar on the truck and asked me if I had any because the curb needed it. I didn’t have any so he did not use rebar in my driveway as was planned and necessary for the job. Jody also said that the place he gets gravel from was closed that morning so he was not going to use any gravel. I noticed that Jody and his crew did not remove all of the driveway that and when I told the them, Jody said he forgot to cut it out but he was done cutting so he was not going to do it. As we asked him to do that job as planned, he said that once he’s done cutting and ready to pour he does not go back to demolition. I demanded that he complete the work we agreed on and he agreed that this was part of the contracted work but said that that’s the way it goes. The cement truck was more than 90 minutes out at this point so he had plenty of time to complete the 10-20 minutes of work to remove the broken piece of walkway. Jody and Liberty Concrete defiantly does not care about the quality of their work and Jody cuts corners on work quality and tries to increase the quote. Jody knew they didn't have rebar and gravel at 9:00 am. The cement truck was not due to arrive until 1:30 PM. They sat around for hours waiting of the cement truck and didn’t complete all the work they were hired to do. One of his employees came over to me and apologized for the quality of the work. They also did not finish the back of the curb and they put the broom finish sweep marks in the wrong direction on 3 of the 4 decorative strips. They also left all of their nails and wire from their cement forms on my front lawn. Now I have to go through the hassle of placing a complaint with the CCB and BBB and write reviews on social media. What a pain it is when you hire the wrong people. When I tried to talk with Jody about the issues, he became very angry and told me that I was messing with the wrong guy. Don’t’ hire the wrong guy, don’t hire Liberty Concrete LLC. Check the BBB and CCD on any contractor you hire. The picture is a patch job Jody did instead of replacing a 3' x 2' section of cracked walkway. Jody said this was good enough and that he didn't feel like doing the wrong right.

Took a little longer to get it scheduled than we wanted, but when they started, they were done in a few days. The patio color and detail were beautiful, however, they did tear up our lawn with the backhoe. Didn't have quite enough concrete to finish to the end of the house, about 6 inches short, however, overall were pleased. Think they should have put second coat of sealer on the finished concrete, because now the color is fading a bit. The color and pattern are very decorative and we are pleased overall with the work done.

It had to be rescheduled several times because of scheduling conflicts with ongoing jobs & weather issues (typical in Oregon in fall season). They did the destruction & haul away & framing all in one day. They needed to haul in more gravel the second day because I had added on the walkway & extra 5 ft to take the driveway all the way to the property line. Then the fall rains hit & we were stalled for a couple days, but the next construction day all the concrete was poured, finished & the forms were pulled. They kept the worksite completely cleaned up, kept me informed the entire time of what was going on with the job. I would definitely hire them again or recommend them to anyone that needs concrete work done.

When the previous owner had the patio poured, she left a 5 ft. x 20 ft. strip open for a planting bed between the house and the rest of the patio. The plants are long gone and I had it filled with lava rock which would collect leaves and junk and was impossible to blow off without getting lava rock all over everywhere. Basically it was wasted space.
Called Liberty Concrete, Jody came out the same day to give me a quote. Told him what I wanted done and asked him if there was any prep I could do to keep the price down. He said if I had the lava rock and dirt removed to a depth of 6 inches he would pour, color , stamp the area and seal it. Also, if I cleaned the old patio, he would seal that too!
They showed up right on time, were very polite and professional. Did a great job, matching the pattern and color of the old patio very well. Even did some extra work, they had some concrete left over and asked me if I would like a ramp built to my garden shed. (something I had been meaning to do for a while)
They cleaned everything up, then came back in a few days to get the patio sealed. Looks great. I'm very, very happy with the work done and the price and would definitely use them again.

We did all the prep work including digging out the hole. When they came in they just needed to put down the gravel frame it and then pour the concrete. They were nice, very efficient and cleaned up their mess. We were there the whole time and they were very pleasant and good at their job. We were very pleased with the work they did and are likely to hire them to redo our driveway. I felt like we got a decent deal and the quality was good. They were very responsive and came out right away for the estimate. Everything worked as it should and they were good working with us.

Liberty Concrete was the first contractor I have ever hired that completed their work on time and showed up for work at 8am and worked all day long. Liberty did what they said they would do in the amount of time provided. They even gave me extras at no cost.
First thing I noticed about Jody, the owner, was that he was side by side with his workers, supervising every minute of the day. He kept a watchful eye on everything and was doing quality control to insure the work was perfect. That?s why my cement work looks so awesome.
It?s nice to get my neighbors stopping by to tell me how much they like my new driveway and asking for the name of the company who did the work.
I could not be happier with my decision to hire Liberty Concrete, call references and you will not find one unhappy person. I checked the Better Business Bureau (BB) and the Construction Contractors Board (CCB), Liberty had a clean record.
