J & S HUFFMAN CONSTRUCTION

My wife and I wanted to add adjustable wall shelves in our newly created library. There were seven total, each about seven feet in length and with different widths to accommodate over-sized books. The shelves took up almost the entire wall. Mr Huffman was quick to respond to our request for an estimate. The bid he submitted was detailed and came with a drawing. We agreed that pre-cut, pre-finished oak shelving would be too expensive (up to $50 a shelf from Lowes!), and he offered to cut and finish sheets of oak plywood, using a thin molding to cover the rough cut edges. This saved us quite a bit of money, and they looked wonderful. He made other helpful suggestions in size and arrangement of the shelves. He prepared the shelving at his office and brought them to our house, along with the standards and brackets. He completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up afterwards. I gave him a "B" rating for pricing, but that may or may not be fair to him. Honestly, everything today seems expensive to me. His services weren't cheap but, at a minimum, they were reasonable. In any event, I would call him again and give him an overall "A" rating.
