Cottage Grove Transmission & Exhaust Service

We were driving from Grants Pass to Salem to pick up a trailer.  As we neared Cottage Grove we heard a sound possibly like a blown tire.  We pulled over and did not find any thing wrong with the tires.  Drove into Cottage Grove and checked engine.  Could not detect anything and started off on our journey again.  Shortly the engine light came on.  After a search on an iphone, Cottage Grove Transmission and Exhaust came up.  I called and the owner answered the phone even though they were closed.  At that point we were thinking the turbo went out. He told us if it was something he could not fix he would send us to someone else we could rely on and would help us arrange towing. He sent someone to show us where his shop was and we left the GMC w4500 there not knowing what else to do.  The next day the owner called  and explained what he found.  It was only a hose blown from the turbo to the intercooler.  We are so grateful.  We could totally have been taken advantage of, being we were out of town and unable to be there.   He also told me he topped my transmission fluid off and let me know I should change it soon. When I was able to return to Cottage Grove to pick up the truck,  the owner came in an hour early to meet me. We are so grateful to this owner and feel totally blessed we found him.  He did excellent work and the truck is running great.
