 + -1 moreAfter test driving it, Tony diagnosed and repaired it quickly for a very reasonable price. Not knowing how long it would take, his mother drove me back to where I was staying and picked me up. Ken was Tony's father who had been in the automotive business in Corvallis since 1971. Don't miss Tony's metal art work for sale in the waiting room.
Description of Work: I was 600 miles away from home. There was an unsettling noise/rattle that I didn't want to drive home with.

 + -1 moreI've been going to Ken Fisher Auto and Truck Repair for automotive service and modifications since 2009, and have only good things to say about them. Services provided have been routine daily driver service (oil change etc), sports car engine swaps and modifications, and good, useful advice. They will not only tell you what's needed, they will also tell you if it's worth doing or if they can't do it. I recommend them to anyone.

He walked through the situation, what he recommended and why. They had the work completed when they said they would. I could have gotten the work done slightly cheaper somewhere else but knew I was having quality work done

 + -1 moreThe entire process went very well. Tony kept me informed along the way of issues as they arose. The only delay was from the shop where they sent the head to get machined. I am very pleased with the entire procedure including the price. Very friendly people.
Description of Work: Our car started leaking coolant from the top rear of the engine. I took it to Ken Fisher's for a diagnosis. They found the coolant was coming from between the head and block. I told them to proceed, and they found that the three rear head bolts had come loose. After further inspection, it was determined that the threads had pulled loose inside the block. They gave me an estimate and told me there was a special tool made to bore out the holes in the block and insert steel threads. They machined all of the head bolt holes in the block and placed the inserts. They sent the head out to get machined.
