I ended up not spending anything with them. They were extremely nice and extremely professional. But, they just said that my old Vibe just was not repairable. It would take a new engine which would cost a lot more money than the car was worth. He was very professional. He tried getting hold of me and he tried to find options so that we could make my car operable. And when it wasn't, he helped me get in touch with a salvage company, to come and tow my poor little car away. He got the best deal for me for the poor little Vibe, as was available. He took care of all of the particulars on that. So I signed the title and left it with him and he took care of all the business about having the car towed away. He got the check and he kept it for me and he kept trying to get hold of me to stop by the business and pick it up because I kept forgetting. He was just a sweet heart. I really liked Gary. I would use his service again, if I needed to.

Gary and his staff are consummate professionals and do an excellent job every time. The first time I took my car in to find out where the oil was leaking, he said he couldn't find it and so didn't charge me - even for the time the mechanic spent looking. So he suggested I get the engine cleaned so they could see better.
Eventually he figured it out and fixed for the amount he quoted and in the time frame he said. they are always good about giving me a ride to work and picking me up if I can't get a ride back.
Gary's auto is the only place I take my car and trust them to do a good job and always be honest with me. thank you Gary!

I have to recommend Gary's for 2 reasons.
First, he helped my father (who is in his late 80s) with a repair for his Buick. Priced first at the dealer (I know...), Gary offered timely service and a quote less than 1/3 what the dealer wanted. Excellent work at a fair price.
Second, he's performed great work on our Subaru, diagnosing a nagging issue and resolving it quickly.
He'll have our business as long as we stay in Corvallis.

My husband, my son, and I have all used Gary's services .. because we know we can trust him to do only what is necessary, and to do it to the best of his ability with the most reasonable price. Several times, he has done a small repair for free, which is unheard of in today's business world. He doesn't hesitate to do a free assessment of what a car needs, and is always up front with us if we DON'T need any repair just yet. Most recent visit was for my son's lifted Jeep .. The lift package created some unique considerations when the drive shaft had to be replaced. They spent quite a bit of their time researching the best way to proceed; ended up getting a custom part from out-of-state. Expected it would cost an arm and leg, but, as usual, they managed to find the best deal and pass the savings on to the customer. Gary's is good at that! Bottom line: they are HONEST, work hard to do right by the customer, and do good work. Can't ask for more than that!

They are very honest. They are the only place I have do the repairs on my vehicles. I grade them A's across the board. I recommend them.

He is really good. He is honest and affordable. He is generally good when I have emergencies. He told me the next time my bulb burnt out to bring it to him and he would do it for me and so he did it free of cost for me.

It was a little dodgy because there was some leaking on the garage floor so we went back in and they apparently brought the guy that did it over to show him. Apparently there was a little bit of sloppiness. Anyways there was oil on the floor and he said that we’d got this all squared away. The guy was fine and the issue was also fine.

I've used Gary's a number of times over the years and have generally been pleased. I feel like I'm treated respectfully. Pricing is fair and I don't feel like I have ever been gouged or had the costs run-up. They're convenient and get the job done when they say they will or they don't take you (i.e. I've never had to leave my car overnight unexpectedly). The work has been good quality (e.g. tune-ups, radiator, exhaust, etc.). They might not be my first choice for a really complicated problem (e.g. tricky electrical stuff), but for most of the common auto service/repairs I've dealt with, they've been good.

Professional and curteous from the get go. Gary gave me a ride to work in the morning and picked me up at the end of the day. He got my vehicle in quickly, did a great repair job, and took the time to show me the old parts and to explain why they needed to be replaced without me having to ask him to show the parts to me.

Gary and his crew did a great job of checking both cars thoroughly, recommending needed repairs, and finishing the work quickly. The costs were very reasonable for the work done.

They had very good customer service from the time I called until I picked up the vehicle. They called to keep me updated on the progress of the job. I felt the charge was reasonable for the work performed.
