"It was a pleasure to be a part of these design and build projects. [mebmer name removed] is a very creative client and we worked very well together. It has been an honor to work with her and I am pleased to have her as a return client. The Japanese style bamboo fence required high level finish carpentry skills to accommodate the roof over each fence section. The bamboo was harvested locally using permaculture principles of sustainable practices. The torii entrance design was inspired by geometries found in architecture from all over the world. The 22' diameter platform was built using tiger wood decking. We used hidden fasteners for an optimal finish. The sunburst finish complimented the four direction margins with an 8x8 glass block in the center. This custom design required high level framing techniques. The 'living roof' at the geodesic dome entrance was fun to create. The juniper poles were hand chiseled to fit the cedar railings and rough slab benches. Although this was very time consuming the finished product was aesthetically beautiful. The basement remodel consisted of framing and finishing walls to include two guest bedrooms, a storage room with custom wooden shelves, a living room, bathroom with custom mosaic tile and additional closet space. The earthen plaster wall in her basement was constructed using clay that was harvested on site in a non invasive way. An egress window was also added. This required cutting the exterior siding and framing accordingly. The finish carpentry also included base moulding and door and window casings"
