Where to begin! I have been renting through Deurksen for a year now and am SO thankful my lease is now up. Service was just ok to begin with and only got worse as time went on. First, there was a huge waiting period for our "supplied" garbage. Had to wait multiple weeks for them to take care of it. They expected a triplex to share a single garbage can (small of course). Yard maintenance was literally only done once in a year. It really needed it too, wasn't able to walk on sidewalk or pathway to house! Then the roof started leaking; not there fault it is an old house, but the poor communication and lack of concern with a large problem is troubling to me. Had to send someone out multiple times to fix. With poor results each time. The worst of it all came when I found another rental property I wanted that was through them. Long story short: I was called a liar to my face from mrs deurksen herself, had 3 different people telling me totally different things. I was the first to apply and turned down based on the worse showing of prejudice I have ever seen or heard of. Seriously if I had the time I would make this a legal battle for how unjust I was treated. I wasn't "qualified" when there were no qualifications, and after one worker said I was already approved... I turned in a BLANK 2 week notice with my application to be completed when I was able to get into the new place. I was persistant with trying to get into the new place and they told me to be patient and the would contact me. Then I started recieving phone calls from random people wanting to see my current place. Not only was I wrongfully and illegally denied, they filled in my paperwork and gave out my contact information without any communication to me. RIDICULOUS! I have been a good tenant for 12 months (no complaints, no late payments, no damage etc.) mrs deurksen simply is a tyrant. I am so glad my lease is up and I can finally move on. I HIGHLY recommend to ALL to look elsewhere!
