Charlie Remingtons Sheet Metal & Gutters Inc

We recently bought a house that had an exterior patio/deck over an interior room.  There was water damage on the outside walls of the room below, and we knew we needed to replace the roofing material.  The exterior patio are was roofed in torch-down (which is really not meant for foot traffic) and yet this exterior space is heavily used.  We (and the people before us) have a patio table, grill and chairs on it.  We needed something that wouldn't leak.  We talked to a few other folks, but Charlie was the first person who really gave us what we considered accurate and important information about the various types of roofing options.  We had been considering deck-rite, but what no one had told us until then was that it is slippery in the rain.  THAT's not a good thing for an exterior patio that slopes very slightly - at least not in Oregon.  Instead, Charlie recommended Sonneguard.  The price of it nearly knocked me off my feet, but Charlie offered to work with me to cut costs.  The material itself is apparently very expensive, but he suggested that I replace the plywood decking myself, and even offered to loan me tools to do that.  He would have saved me about a thousand dollars in prep expenses if I had opted to do that.  However, in the long run I decided to have him do all of the work due to my work schedule. 
Charlie was GREAT.  He gave us realistic expectations of the time frame - worked hard, was professional, and a really nice guy.  He was personable and gave us a few tips on local garden places too!  We really like him.  His work was careful, thorough, and beautiful.  We had one little glitch with a streaked top coat.   Charlie ended up having to put on an additional coat of product - which was not cheap.  However, he was extremely ethical about this and adjusted the cost accordingly. 
His work was done on time and within the price quoted.  We feel like we made a really good decision about using this particular product instead of some others, and we're pretty sure that we won't need to resurface this area again for the next 10 to 15 years. 

When contacted, Charlie was able to get here within 10 minutes.   He applied a temporary patch to the roof and gave a quote of $450 for reflashing 2 chimneys and also replacing some damaged shingles and adding a large pan to deal with backups in a valley better.   Came out 3 days later to do the job, arriving at 7am on a Saturday morning.    Decided that some of the flashing did not need repairing and ended up billing only $340.        I will definitely use Charlie any time we need a roofer in the future.
