The Fences look great. However I rated them a "B" because of the lack of effective communication with their sales person. He was not very responsive with returning emails or phone calls. I would coach him in saying if you want to **** off a customer don't return their phone calls or emails.

Estimator was responsive & listened to what we wanted to accomplish with the fence. The estimate was what we thought to be a fair price. The two installers were efficient and had the job done in good time. We have a small lot with a peekaboo to a golf course. Our goal was to allow some privacy between our neighbors but not visually enclose ourselves. Pacific Fence accomplished our goal. Fence has approval from the neighbor association, neighbors next to us & in the cul de sac, it is visually appealing.

I had seen an example of a black chain-chain link fence installed by this company while walking my dog around my neighborhood in North Portland.  I was so impressed with the look and workmanship displayed, I wanted to order a similar fence for my front yard.  I actually drove to the site in Clackamas with a sketch of what I had in mind, pictures of my house and the example fence I had seen in my neighborhood hoping to talk with the installers.  I also took a picture of another vinyl coated fence my dog destroyed at my previous home in New Jersey.  It turned out I couldn't talk to the installers as that is not how their jobs are scheduled.  However, the prep work I did - creating the sketch and printing out the pictures - did seem to help.  I left the pictures and sketch at the office and when Frank came out a couple of weeks later to discuss the project and bid the job, he had already a good idea of what was required.   I was very happy with that discussion and looked forward to receiving the bid and getting the work scheduled.
Here is my only complaint, I had to wait. Undoubtedly It was just that Spring is a very busy time for them, but I was impatient.  Moreover, when the first bid came two plus weeks later, it did not contain a sufficiently detailed description of the work to satisfy me.  I was afraid the installers might not come with all the right supplies and tools.  I emailed Frank and he quickly updated the bid to my satisfaction.  I sent the down payment right away. Then I had to wait another two weeks for the call with an install date of the following day.  I am retired, but I remember thinking if I were still working, this sort of scheduling would have unnerved me.
Anyway Josh and Mark came out the morning scheduled.  They had everything they needed and did a terrific job.  My yard is on the small side, but the project involved installing two gates, using a heavier duty fabric than standard, setting some of the new posts in core drilled holes in concrete and others in newly dug two-foot holes filled with wet mix quick set and re-fashioning two old rusty galvanized posts with black enamel sleeves to match the new ones.  Josh and Mark consulted with me at multiple decision points to be sure they knew exactly what I wanted.  I watched them work and their expertise, conscientiousness and professionalism were manifest.  They were begun and done in half a day.  I couldn't be more pleased with the result.

The estimator was on time and was very helpful in advising us about what was possible given the site and what needed to be done to clear vegetation before the work began. The bid was lower than two other bids solicited so we chose Pacific Fence to install the fence. We ended up rescheduling the work because of conflicts into the week after what we had planned, about a month in advance. When the day came, no one showed . A call to the supervisor was answered quickly and he apologized for having forgotten to schedule our work. He promised someone would be over the next day and sure enough, a worker showed up to tear down the old fence and install the posts. After some curing time for the concrete, another worker showed up the next day to finish the job. While the company erred in scheduling the work, they more than made up for it with their quick response. The fence was installed within the timeline planned. The installer was very efficient and professional and the work site was left in clean condition.

They set the posts when promised, but they were the wrong ones. No concession was offered. About six months later, a landscaper ruined a part of the fence, but the quote to repair was far more than two other installers.

A mixture of great support and mistakes but overall good results. I've never built a fence before and Pacific was very helpful to work out the design details. A major problem was every time I picked up materials they got at least one of the hardware bits wrong. Every time. I got tired of the extra trips to their shop, finally their manager drove to my house with the parts needed. Got the job done, the fence looks good.

Overall it was satisfactory. Mr. Smith did assist me in suggesting options for the type of gate. I was not familiar with a ''slide/swing'' gate, and after he explained it and made a sketch I chose that option and I'm glad I did. Once I made the down payment of $515, I had to call several times to prompt them to begin work. Mr. Smith was always polite and apologetic, saying they were just very busy. A contract crew installed the posts, and performed the work quickly and capably, the posts set vertically and in line. When I changed the side fence to 5 ft (originally it was also 4 ft), Mr. Smith said he'd have to re-bid it; however, in the end he said it wasn't worth the hassle so we got a 5 ft. side fence for the price of a 4 ft. height. In my mind that helped to compensate for the delays. All of the crew members were courteous and respectful; Ivan (who set the gates) in particular was kindly, efficient, and obviously experienced.

We met with Kevin and he gave a quote of $2700. When I told him that we only had $2500 for the project, he agreed to lower the total price to $2500. We signed contracts and work was supposed to begin within the week. There were several delays (due to trucks needing repair and the lead man being out of town). We went a couple of weeks with just posts separating our yard from the neighbors. The fence was finally completed. We paid the $2500 per the contract and then received another bill showing that we owed an additional $200. I wrote Kevin a letter stating that we had signed the contract for $2500 and that was to include everything. He called and left a message saying that he forgot to add sales tax. I called him back and again told him that we had signed a contract for $2500 and that should have included tax. He said that he would take care of it and call us back. Instead, yesterday we got another bill for the supposed sales tax.
