We were looking for a home in a specific area of Portland. It became very clear fast, that she was unfamiliar with this area, despite telling us that she knew this area well. When we did find a home and made an offer on it that was accepted, she was practically nowhere to be found. Once making the offer for the home, I saw her twice (once during the inspection, once more to sign paperwork) for a month and a half. She was very unresponsive and rushed in every conversation and interchange. We ended up having to contact the seller's agent to have important questions answered, or to learn the progress of escrow. Since there were several fixes that needed to be done, we were concerned about meeting deadlines and being aware of the process. Nicole was unresponsive, often unavailable, and frequently didn't return our calls. Finally, we threw up our hands and tried to coordinate everything independently with the sellers agent, the mortgage broker, and a contractor doing work on the house, only to be called up at the 11th hour by Nicole, lecturing us to let her do her job. I would have been happy to let her do her job... That is if she actually was doing it.
Description of Work: Nicole was our "buyers agent" when we were looking to purchase a house. She e-mailed us possible listings to review, and took us around to view homes. Several times we weren't able to see homes we were very interested in because she wasn't able to fit the viewing time into her schedule. After we made an offer on a house, that was accepted, several things turned up wrong at the home inspection (the outdoor oil tank leaked, the roof needed replacing, the sewer line was suspect). We wanted to change the terms of the agreement to make sure these things were taken care of before we purchased the home, and Nicole was very resistant to our desire to get all these things taken care of. Several times in the process, I felt that she wasn't working for us, but rather was working for the seller.
