A week later, when my AC would not work properly, it was discovered that during this installation, he had cut into both the power and refrigerant lines of the system. When given the bill for the repair by the HVAC company, Cory refused to pay denying he caused the incident and said the repair cost was too high. That cost was $642 for 6 hours of work plus materials to recharge the system, and they had to cut into the sheetrock to find the original problem. Cory has also not returned to repair the large hole in the sheetrock. He ignored my calls for 3 weeks. As of today, this contractor's license with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (#81764) has been suspended (unrelated to my incident) for failure to show proof of bond, yet his contract states "licensed, bonded & insured." I am filing a complaint with the CCB. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I will take him to court in the end. I do not recommend this contractor be allowed on your premises.
Description of Work: This general contractor completed work where he drilled into the walls to run wires for a home theater system. The cost for the work was $400.
