They did a lot tof work. Every year I have to get them out here to do it because I just got a moth lawn. The price is a little high. I recommended them to other people because they are very good at what they do.

The scope of my questions or request for comments far exceeded the time made available for that purpose. Thus, incomplete. LBD gave a helpful observation, and one referral. No money was paid out. Subsequently walked back the prospect of a second, no-charge meeting to discuss impressions/suggestions, but invited me to make contact when I was ready to contract for work to be performed. This rather begged the question of what would his (horseback) guestimate be for various improvements, etc., so as to provide me with a [financial planning] context for considering feasibility/priority. This left me with a sense of uncertainty, except that I had somehow imposed upon him.

Fantastic, will absolutely hire again. They had good ideas for the planning, and execution was quick & easy.

LBD did excellent work. On time. Clean. Easy to work with. Never worked with a contractor that was easier to deal with. Don completely understood the look I wanted to create. I have my dream backyard!!!

We use LBD for all of our yard work and have for years.  They handle our tree work, shrubs, lawn and our sprinkler system.  We have a very steep hill so this is very hard work. We are on a regular program with them. Great company!

They're really first class! The end result was great, and the lawn looked very good. The price was reasonable and they're always on time. All around, they're first class and I'd recommend them.

If Don says his crew will be there at a certain day/time, then they will be. That alone puts them ahead of more than 90% of the contractors out there. I highly recommend LBD Landscaping.

Our crew is great. They are fast and efficient. I cannot praise this company enough since we have a big lot and a very steep hillside that they maintain. We have also used their tree trimming service for bigger jobs with the same results.

Great experience-- first time ever hiring someone else to do this work. It's quite expensive, but they do a fine job. Although I don't see them, they check in to see how things are going. I appreciate that. It's a great outfit.

The lawn looks good. If that is all you want is a finished product then LBD is fantastic. However they showed up 4 hours early when i wasn't home and proceeded to reach over my fence and unbolt our gate to get in the backyard. It was lucky I called or they would have sodded our whole lawn instead of just the area requested. Then when I called to put charges on my credit card was told they charge 4% if you use anything other than cash. I am a new homeowner owner so maybe this is common for landscaping companies. But I wouldn't use them again.

They had to dig under my driveway through extremely rocky soil in order to install the system on both sides of the front yard. I expected problems and delays, but there were none since their equipment and expertise was up to the task. They also dug a new bed in my front yard. After the system was installed, they walked me through its operation, even giving me advice on how to care for a couple of new plants I'd added to the back yard (which was not part of the installation). The next summer, when I had problems with roots growing into the system over the winter, they took my phone call immediately and, over the phone, walked me through the process of clearing it. They were and continue to be professional, quick, and fair. I would employ them again, and I would recommend them to my friends.

We have been using LBD for 10 years and have always been pleased with their professionalism and knowledge of the jobs performed. Will continue to use them.

They came on time, worked quickly. The lawn edging needed some correction, and Joe returned with the crew to see that it was done to our satisfaction.

They are friendly and fast. And price is reasonable. They also know their business very well.

LBD does work for other houses in our neighborhood so we thought we would give them a try. Don was very responsive and pleasant to speak with on the phone. He came and looked at our yard and then gave us a quote based on what we had discussed as well as a few extras he recommended. The quote looked good so Don put us on the schedule for the next week. They sprayed for crane flies and did fertilizer one day (left a card on the door letting us know what had been done). Then called the next afternoon to let us know they would perform the rest of the service the next day. Came home to a awesome looking yard.

They know our system. They come out, they fix it, and they bill me, so I don't have to have the money upfront. They are pretty easy to work with. If I have any problem, he comes out at the right time. We are going to continue to use him again in the future too.

We were concerned with their being Portland-based when we're out in the suburbs but we quickly learned that they schedule their visits to include others in the neighborhood, so minimizing any overhead of travel costs. We have now worked with them for c. 6 years and have always been delighted with their work. Don, our contact, is always available to answer questions or discuss projects. We have never had any concern with the quality or thoroughness of their work. On the very rare occasion we don't like a particular planting they are quick to return and alter/upgrade it to our satisfaction.

Over the years they have pruned trees, installed irrigation, created and maintained landscaping. They service the yard periodically to fertilize, minimize weeds, and maintain shrubery. Once or twice a year they will schedule a more major service to ensure it stays looking really good. We get the satisfaction that whenever we sit on the back deck (frequently) we get to really enjoy the view and not see a bunch of projects in need of our completion!

Highly recommended. I'm sure you can find cheaper, but if you want ownership, high quality, and a beautiful backyard that your visitors will comment on, then use LBD Landscaping.

Their prices were competitive. They did what they said they would do. They did a good job. The owner didn't ask for any payment upfront and we had to pay him in full only after satisfactory completion of the work. There were some issues with the follow-up interaction. They were more interested in doing the job, but there were several cancellations if there was anything for which they had to come back. They were good on doing the initial job but they were a bit lacking on any kind of problems afterwards.
