Well done; thorough job to ensure no more leaks. We were proactive in asking many questions as work was happening and decided mid-way through job to replace skylight after contractor showed the seal would not hold much longer. Good catch. Contractor was somewhat difficult to talk with due to language barrier and did not clean up broken roof shingles instead blew them into my lawn which I had to pick up later.

It went great. They were very professional and easy to work with. We had a couple oil spots on the drive way so the came and pressure washed the entire driveway for us. When we did the walk through there were a couple of things that I wanted fixed and they came right away and took care of them. I would recommend them to anyone needing a new roof.

Jose Giron is great, very responsive to all my questions, concerns and roofing needs. Giron roofers are very hardworking and thorough especially Juan, who is the lead roofer, and his fellow roofers, Pedro, and another roofer, I forgot the other roofer's name. They work rain or shine, I've never seen such hard working people. Also, Eduardo, who is another roofer, is really good, he finished installing the solar tubes correctly (I checked the manual) and he is correct in following the procedures. He also helped correct one plywood installation on the roof. My roof is done, and it looks really, really good. Came also with good warranty. My friends who were visiting and saw my roof wanted to make sure to talk to Giron Construction, too. Solar tubes are worth getting. Lots of light now in my house. Glad I had them installed. All that is left, is a final fixing of the jutting out nails, patch a couple of nail holes that was meant for the marking for solar tubes, and to clean my gutter which a Giron worker will come back and finish.

EXCELLENT! I got bids from 3 companies. With the two other companies a really casual-looking guy came out, looked around, scrawled some things on a pad of paper and left saying they'd get back to be . One guy was late arriving for the appointment, the other took over a week to even give me a bid. So I was extremely impressed when Jose arrived from Giron. Not only did he look professional but after his examination of the roof he gave me a nice brochure with lots of information and he discussed options with me. He had samples of the different shingles to choose from and gave me a thorough explanation of what the entire process would include. He also gave me a price estimate right then and there. Every day the workers arrived punctually and worked hard all day. They were friendly and always professional. I appreciated that the supervisor checked with me every day to make sure that things were going well and that I was happy with the work. I was! They did an outstanding job and the roof looks great. I also can't say enough about the clean up job that they did. There was not a single sign that they were ever here - except for the beautiful new roof. Without hesitation I enthusiastically recommend Giron Construction.

We were scheduled to have our roof repaired on a Saturday. They said they expected to be at our house before 10am. No one showed up. I called the office at 1pm and left a message. I finally got a phone call about 5:30pm saying they got caught up on another job. We rescheduled for the following week (Monday). Monday came and went and they did not show up again. I also did not receive a phone call saying they couldn't make it- I had to call and follow up. They finally did have someone come out later in the week, and the job went smoothly from that point on. The man doing the work did a great job, was very polite, and cleaned up the site when he finished. Bottom line- The quality of their work was GREAT and we are very happy with the end product. But, their communication is sub par. If Giron would improve their communication I would give them an A+.

I had a good experience with Giron. They performed great work and were very conscientious to do it thoroughly. Aside from installing a new roof of architectural shingles on my 1908 Portland home, they spent extra time repairing existing problems with molding, vents, fascia and flashing for little or no cost, which was impressive and appreciated. My house is a small two story with a steep (~10/12) roof of about 1200 sq ft and 2 dormers. It now looks great! There were a couple particular incentives to hire Giron. One was their coupon advertised through Angie?s List: pay $500 upfront to receive an $1150 credit at a future date. Another was their warranty?50 years for the materials and labor. That?s pretty exceptional. It?s kind of a cost-free roof for any future problems (if caused installation and materials) as long as Giron stays in business. I should mention there were other Giron coupons for complete roof installations at bargain prices but those included cheaper materials and limited warranties. The initial bid was made during a visit by Victor who, although a few minutes late, had called to inform me. He spent plenty of time with me outside, tossing around ideas of how to fix some of the several nuances of the roof, mainly caused by amateur mistakes when re-roofed by the prior homeowners. He was willing to apply the coupon to an already competitive bid and their work was secured with a 50% down payment. The job took 3 days (2 were very long, 10+ hours) plus one additional ½ day for the gutter installation. The crew of 4-5 was very competent and consulted with me first about any issues that were not part of the written bid. Job foremen would be on site overseeing things at least a couple hours each day and would give me evening calls to see if I was satisfied with everything. By nature roofing is a messy job and the initial tear-off left the expected piles of shingles all over the place. But the crew cleaned the entire site that first evening and there was never an issue of garbage afterward. None of my plants were damaged. Of course, a roof is meant to keep the house dry and within a week of installation were a couple of downpours. No problems?the roof has worked well. I certainly would recommend Giron to other people as they were efficient, quality conscious and considerate in their work.

They scheduled the work soon after buying the angies list coupon. Initially there was some mis-communication about the repair, but once the communication was clear I was very impressed with how responsive Giron was to our needs.

Jose - on time, reasonable on repair credit vs. estimate for new roof. No problems at all with workers. Roof looks fine to me.

I had come down from Seattle area to be on hand during the repair work. Unfortunately, their roofing crew got hung up on another project and were unable to get started until a day later. The repair materials were dropped off late Thursday afternoon and the work crew showed up first thing on Friday. They worked diligently on the repair finishing up early afternoon. The foreman of the crew took ohotos on his portable phone and was able to show me what was done and how it looked before they left. All the struppied material was also collected and taken away with them. Except for the delay, I was very pleased with their work.

Great job. I did not go with the lowest bidder but I did go for the most competent. The program/package proposed was hands down the best. That roof is going to last a lot longer than me!

Originally purchased $89 inspect and repair coupon. They came and said no point in minor repair, I needed new roof. I already knew that. The estimate for the tear off and replace was $9,000. When I went back online to contact a second company for an estimate, I saw a new coupon from Giron for a total roof replacement for around $7,200. I contacted them and asked what the value difference was between the $9,000 estimate and the $7,200 deal. They said they would give me everything in the $9,000 estimate for $7,500 so I signed on. Had no problems with the company other than the fact that the roofers didn't speak much english. They did their work, were courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. From the ground, my new roof looks fine and they gave me an $89 credit on the final bill for the value of the original repair work that they didn't do.

Very satisfied with Giron Construction. Replaced our roof. There were some issues that occurred but Jose responded quickly and addressed the situations. We signed a contract for a 40 year shingle but only received a 30 year shingle. The manufacturer sent the wrong shingles to our home. Luckily my husband noticed the shingle packing or we would never have known. Giron did credit us for the mistake by $600 but it would have been nice to have the 40 year shingles like we were told we'd get. They also did not put the valley metal strip on the roof and my husband luckily noticed that as well. They had to come back and rip off the new shingles in order to install. Even with these mistakes I do recommend Giron Construction, Jose and the crew were great.

Went very well. Angieslist gave me Girards phone number so I could contact them immediately as I was planning to leave on a trip. They came the following day for the inspection and estimate. I was pleased that they scheduled my repair for the next day so I was able to leave with my problem solved.

It went great. Three people worked on the roof for 3 days. They did a great job of clean up and did a good job protecting the plants

It was the only bitterly cold and severely windy two weeks of winter that we've had this year in Portland, but they persevered and completed the job in slightly over the estimated time due to weather. The roof looks beautiful, and the gutters were done incredibly skillfully, adapting the size and shape to our 1926 English cottage style home. Prior to installation we took a long time choosing shingle style and color and the owners of Giron construction were incredibly patient and helpful in providing the samples requested and were willing to provide samples from companies other than the one they typically do business with. They maintained a warm and friendly but professional attitude throughout.

Giron did an excellent job! From start to finish there was great communication-Victor and/or Jose did drive by assessments as the job progressed, and one of them called and checked in daily. Any call -backs were responded to quickly or immediately. The guys who came out to work on the roof were polite, friendly, and extremely hard workers. We had a kid's birthday party going on of the days they were roofing and they were attentive to keep the area safe for the us. They added gutters to our shed, when it was assessed before the job started that this would help a lot with proper drainage. After researching several companies, with one bid of as much as $30,000 for the same style and quality of roof, I found Giron. They did a super clean up job, were on time and completed the job as quickly as possible with quality work. We even received a discount off the bid price for a change in cost due to material not needed for a specific part of the roofing job. I definitely would recommend them and use Giron again!

Giron Construction did an excellent job installing a new roof on our house. Jose understood what we wanted and his crew was able to accomplish the task. Our house is almost 100 years old and you can imagine some of the problems the crew had to deal with. They were able to fix what needed repairing, install new insulation in our attic space, and put on the new roof all in budget. Being winter in Oregon, the crew also had to work on a day with a record rainfall. I highly recommend Giron Construction for installing your new roof.

Quoter rescheduled time and then did not show for rescheduled date - nor did he call. Several days later workman come to house and go on roof without anyone home. When I arrived he began taking off part of roof before I could stop him. They explained to me they had gone to a neighbors house to quote my house and during process convinced him to do repair. They then showed up at my house and began repair that was suppose to be on my neighbors house. Their quote was nearly 80 percent higher than competition.

They did not provide service because they do not work with tire roofs.

They were able to do the inspection, but they can’t apply a credit since I have a cedar roof. I would use them if I did a roof replacement, though.

I am so happy with Giron construction. Teo was responsive and very nice to work with. I got an estimate on Thursday and had a new roof by noon on Tuesday. Can't get much faster than that. His team worked very hard. They protected my new deck well, and did a great job on cleanup. I also bought a $1000 Angie's List coupon for $500, so that saved me $500. I was a contractor for many years and would have no hessitation in recommending this company.

I anticipated needing a full inspection and repairs on my roof, however, Teo recommended that I get a refund and follow-up with him after I have gotten the roof cleaned of all moss. He would be happy to assess the roof free of charge at that point and provide an estimate for any repairs that may be necessary.

Everything went really well. They replaced the entire roof, added some insulation, plywood sheets, and added new gutters. They are coming back in the spring to finish painting.

Excellent service from the first contact to the finished product. Giron was on the spot and on the job at all times. They finished our home and garage in 2.5 days with little fuss or interruption to our daily schedules. Prompt, friendly, quality job!!! Would recommend them to everyone. Great company!
