Overall it was a great experience. One thing we really appreciated is that they honored the agreed upon price despite a couple issues (original quote somehow hadn't included removing the old fiberglass insulation - a documentation issue on their part but it added almost an entire day to the work; for garage we used an Angies List coupon) and the work seemed top-notch. The guys that came out were on-time, respectful and worked hard. One of our deck chairs was accidentally broken; when we pointed this out Giron gave us a discount on our final bill. Skylights seem to be installed well (no leaks, etc.) from the outside - we were less impressed with the skylight well finish on the inside ( a little rough, and we hadn't understood that it wouldn't be finished at all - we ended up caulking and painting). We would use them again (although hopefully won't have to for quite a while!) and have recommended them to friends. They did push a bit more than I liked for a review - but I guess that's how business works these days and they did do a great job for a good price.

Roof inspection was done well, even removing an old TV antenna mast. But their estimate to replace the roof was way too high. I had difficulty verifying their contractors license. The BBB had multiple listings for them, and all but one had expired licenses. Also, there were multiple names for the same company.

The person that came was on time, really friendly and very nice to work with. During the first trip, he couldn't tell where the leak was coming from so he suggested that we take out part of the sheet rock. After we had that done, he came again and said that it's an HVAC issue, so we had an HVAC specialist come look at it. It turned that it's not an HVAC issue. In the end, another roofing company found the cause and fixed it.

The roof leaked which is why we needed it replaced. There had been a previous remodel before we moved in where skylights were installed and those skylights ended up being bad. Several of them leaked so we had those removed when we had the house re-roofed. After we had the roof replaced there was still a leak. Teo Giron was amazing. He replaced AGAIN a part he "thought" might be the problem. He also thought there was a problem with the chimney. He found us fireplace specialist and made time to meet with us at the house when the fireplace contractors came. The roof was a tricky one where it met up with the chimney. We ended up getting a custom fireplace cap made and work done on the fireplace. Many roofers would have done the roof and been done with us. But Teo kept working with us and helping us work through our roof/chimney issues until we were completely satisfied. At one point we owed him additional money and I called him to see how much it was. He responded. " I don't even want to talk about money until I have everything the way you want it and you are completely happy." He was patient and kind and kept communicating with us until we were satisfied. The roof was not cheap, but Teo Giron made us feel like he understood we were making a large investment and took that seriously. I can't say enough good things about Teo and Giron Construction. It is easy to have good reviews when everything goes according to plan. Our job was complicated with unexpected events, but in the end we are nothing but happy and satisfied.

It went very well. The strip off took place the first day. It was nerve racking because I could watch the old tiles thru one of our security cameras while I was at work! The second day was starting to lay down the new roof and repairs taking place. The third day was finishing up the roof and clean up. Each day the crew did a mini clean up so we could come and go that evening and the next morning. The roof looks great and it should be the last roof I have to put on our house.

They were very communicative and worked with my schedule. The work crew was professional and knew what they were doing. He went the extra mile and sealed up the roof vents with new silicone as well.

We built our house 25 years ago on a very steep lot in the West Hills overlooking the Wildwood trail. Access to the house and the roof is limited, the pitch is very steep with multiple levels and there is a nasty 50 foot drop should anyone make a mistake with their footing. We wanted three competitive bids. We figured the project would be between $ 12,000 and $ 18,000 dollars as we have friends in the roofing business who told us what to expect. Girons' bid , which was very detailed, was right on the money. Another roofing company, offering same exact model of GAF roofing was over $ 10K higher which made no sense at all. They were able to start the project about 2 - 3 weeks after signing the contract. The original estimated time for the project was 3 days but Portland weather did not cooperate and the job took 8 days. At the beginning we were slowed by rain and towards the end by 90 degree heat. All we can is that the GIRON team worked their butts off and sometimes didn't leave the project until 8 at night ( with our permission for working late). They were respectful of neighbors, traffic, our plants and every day picked up trash and old roofing materials so the area around the house was always clean. We are thrilled with the results. The roof looks great and I don't see how anyone else could have done a better job. I think that they might have underestimated how difficult it was to work on a roof with such a steep pitch but they never complained. This is an excellent company to work with.....

Giron Construction replaced the old roof on my house. At this time I'm happy with this company, and I hope that I will be happy with it in the future. I will recommend Giron Construction to other people, and I am plan to hire them for guttering and siding projects.

I call Giron Construction and within a day or two met Rob out at the jobsite. He provided an estimate on the spot. He said there might be some damage to the sheeting as a couple of spots felt "weak". As it turned out all was good. The crew showed up on the agreed upon date AND time and went right to work. Everyone in the crew had a job and went to it in a very professional manner. Within just a few hours, they had the old roof off, the new one on, cleaned up and were gone. The only evidence that they had even been there as the new roof. From Ms. Thurman who initially took my call and kept me up to date on all matters, to Rob who came out and gave the estimate, to the crew who did the work, everything was handled promptly and professionally. If you need roof work done, these are the people you want doing your work. Thank you Ms. Thurman, Rob and crew for a job well done!

Jose came out to offer me an estimate and I immediately felt like I was talking to a straight shooter. No sales pitch or pressure just solid information and common sense. The guys that did the work showed up on time and always left our place looking cleaned up at the end of the day. The job was done right! I have no complaints.

Buyer beware of this business! He was supposed to diagnose a drip issue, but really all he wanted to do was sell me a new roof, so in effect I paid $89 for a sales call. Details: Provider took over a week to contact me. Not the best start, but not the worst problem either. I had drips from above in several scattered places in my garage. Provider went on my roof to inspect, came down and said it was poorly installed and should be replaced. He showed me photos on his smartphone of nails put into the wrong places on the shingles. He spent most of his time with me talking about his product and giving me a quote for a new roof, and quickly dismissed any notion of repair. Well, I thought, I don't like it, but maybe he's right. I had two other roofers come out. Neither one of them saw any sign of the installation issue he claimed I had, or that the photos he showed me could have been taken on my roof. The second roofer wanted to sell me a new roof, too, but he admitted that my roof had at least three or four more years life in it. He, like Giron, was not interested in my drip issue. At this point, two people (the second roofer and an independent professional inspector) had been in the attic and not seen any sign of leaks there, so given the shape of the roof, it was hard to understand what was going on in the garage. The third roofer was a gem. Before he even got up on the roof, from the ground, he said it looked like the roof was OK. He got up and gave it a good inspection, came down and said it should last at least five years, maybe ten if I kept it moss free. Any thoughts about my garage drip issue? I asked him. It dawned on us both simultaneously - condensation on the plastic lining the insulation. Thanks goodness for an honest, principled businessman.

Before buying a house I wanted to do a roof inspection. I was able to schedule something very quickly. Bob was going to be a few minutes late and called to let me know, which was very nice. He was courteous and professional and answered all my questions. I would definitely work with Giron again.

From the first contact for estimates to the final clean up, Giron Construction and their employees were excellent. Their crew was very timely, polite, professional and very aware of minimizing the inconvenience of having a roof replaced. We have 3 dogs and they were exceptional and leaving non-debris paths for us to get our dogs outside throughout the day. The crew works quickly, yet always keeping an eye on providing an exceptional product and getting the details right the first time. Clean up was exceptional! We highly recommend Giron Construction and I'm sure we'll be talking with them in the future for additional work.

Our 25 year old shake roof was deteriorating and developed leaks in February. We knew it would be a big project with our large house and guest house, so we carefully got four bids. Jose Giron was by far the most prepared and detailed in the bidding process. He was very helpful in explaining everything and helping us to choose the best product. Their bid was fair, competitive, but not the lowest. This was a huge project and we simply wanted to deal with the most professional roofers. We were initially considering Certainteed products, but on Jose's recommendation, we decided on Malarkey Windsor Weathered Wood partly because Malarkey is a local company and also the tile pattern was larger and more appropriate for the size of our roof. The Giron Team were prompt and very understanding of all our concerns. They had an on site supervisor for the project who communicated well each step. They removed the old roof quickly in sections to prevent any exposure to rain, installed the new Malarkey, cleaned the brick chimney, replaced damaged wood siding on another chimney and a section of exterior wall. They replaced all the gutters and added downspout clean outs. We replaced all skylights, too. Then to finish everything off, their painting team repainted the entire house and guest house and power washed the driveway to clean up after themselves. This painting team was exceptional in their prep work and attention to detail as they applied two coats of lifetime warranteed paint. They did their work quickly, efficiently and professionally. Our old house looks brand new. We are very pleased and impressed. There were no surprises, This project came in on time and on budget. They exceeded our expectations. I must say the entire Giron Team appeared to enjoy working together and seemed proud of doing good work. We have had several previous large building projects, and this was the most successful and easy we have experienced. We would not hesitate to give Giron our highest recommendation and refer them to any family or friends.

Giron Construction did a good job with everything. It took about 4 days to complete and went at a steady pace. The workers arrived when they said they would, communicated well, and met our expectations. They took responsibility for any problems or issues during the project, which made us feel like we were dealing with a very professional company. After each work day the job foremen came to my front door with a progress report. During the project there was always someone available to answer my questions or concerns. I was home during the job and I went outside to inspect their progress occasionally. A couple of times a worker cleared a path for me through the ruble as I walked around the house. I didn?t even ask. Another thing that we liked about this company was their cleanup. They picked up all of the work debris and actually left the yard looking better than it did before they started the project. Later in the week they sent someone out to do a detailed cleanup which included washing any dirt or marks off the sides of the house. The only problem during the project was when we discovered that during the installation a couple of small holes where punched through the ceiling into the upper attic bedroom. We found this problem in the evening after the workers had gone home. I emailed Giron a description of the problem that night and heard back from them by 8am the next morning. They sent a repair crew out by 9am and the problem was fixed in a few hours. I was really impressed with their response to this. The finished roof looks neat and substantial like it should. We purchased the Malarkey Northwest-XL (Scotchgard) shingle. I think the cost was reasonable for the job, and quality of work. I?m happy with this company and the way our project turned out. I highly recommend Giron Construction LLC for this kind of job. I?m planning to hire them again when it?s time to put up new siding on our house.

I called for this service because there was a shingle dropped from the ridge of my house's roof. I chose Giron because they have very good review here and the best price for this kind of service. The appointment was made very smoothly and they sent people right after the date I called them. I was happy for that and expected they can fix the problem during that visit. However I was so disappointed. The worker came to my house arrived before the schedule time. This is good but the problem is he looks very un-professional. Before he came, I already told them what kind of shingle they should bring but he didn't bring. He just didn't want to my problem during that visit. His excuse was he didn't have that kind of shingle and the ladder. Ok then I asked him to do a inspection on my roof and this is what he was supposed to do. The funny things was he just wore a normal sport shoe to climb on my roof. He didn't inspect all the area and only inspected very limited area. He pointed out a few minor problems and suddenly said I need to replace a brand new roof. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? My roof looks pretty new and its life is less than 15 years (maybe 5 years if it was replaced when i bought this house) which life time is supposed to be 30 years. I tried my best to be not angry with that and asked him to give me the quota of fixing all the problems he pointed out. The he said to replaced the damaged one piece shingle and a few other missing one I need to pay $300. To fix the nail problem on some other shingles I need to pay another $300. This is the first time I called for roof service so I don't if know these are fair prices. But my final decision is to do everything myself since that will save me over $500!!!

It went well and quickly. Large crew. They worked long hours but got it done in 2 days. Did a good job of cleaning up.

Fast professional service at a time of need! Responded quickly after the jagged end of a tree limb fell vertically and punched a hole through my roof. Did a great quick on the spot patch and later a full fix, all for a very reasonable price. I'd use Giron again anytime -- the damaged area has disappeared totally.

I am satisfied with their responses and their know how, however, the price they quoted was the middle of the three that I sought. I accepted the lowest price estimate.

Rob, who came to do the estimate, came the day after I called. He was polite and professional and sat down with pictures that he had taken on the roof and explained why my roof had been leaking. He gave a comprehensive estimate for materials and labor. The estimate was very reasonable so I decided to have the Giron Company do the work. Their office called to set up the day and time and when it turned out to be a rainy day, they called to reschedule and returned 3 days later. I am very happy with the service and the work. They came in at the price estimated.

This is the VERY BEST company I have ever worked with in my life!!!! I cannot say enough on how FABULOUS Giron Construction was to work with. The employees work hard and long just to make sure everything is perfect. The Owner Teo was a pleasure to work with, he was amazing. I have already had friends and family use their service too. It went very, very well. I am pleased with the overall project. The owner of the company met with me and answered all my questions. We agreed on the price and it never deviated. There was no attempt to "upsell". I respect that in a company. The crew showed up on time, worked diligently, cleaned up after themselves and were very professional. The "crew boss" has deep experience roofing house. Mr. Girion has an experienced crew and he takes care of them. We were fortunate in that we had sunny but cool weather. It rained the day they completed the job. I recommend Girion General Construction, LLC with no reservations. I would hire the company again in a heartbeat. If you need a new roof or need repair, Give Girion a call. You can't go wrong.

The company sent out a roofer to talk to me. He looked at everything and took pictures so he could take it back to his boss. He even pointed out the cracked siding (in multiple places) above the window that was most likely the cause of the leak. He did climb up on the roof and was able to say the roof was not the cause of the leak. Since he didn't have any experience with windows or siding he couldn't even give me a ball park estimate on the work. I heard back from the company two business days after they looked at the issue (via e-mail only). This is the response I got back: I spoke with the boss about your leak and we went over the pictures I took. We have concluded that the window or the window flashing is most likely the culprit. Unfortunately, we do not have a person to do window work at this time. Your best bet would be to contact a company that works on windows and have them check for the solution. It seems to me that the z-metal is not in place on the top of the window and could, also, be absent of the protective tape that helps to secure the perimeter of the window. I apologize for not being able to help out further. Our current siding is Hardie Plank. Which Giron Construction says they use and support on their web page. It's clear that my siding is cracked above the window and has been installed completely wrong. Nails between joints (butt ends), as well as siding that has started to bow a bit in many places. Honestly it feels like they didn't take this seriously at all. I would never recommend this company to friends or family based on the single fact they sent out a roofer to give me a quote on siding / window repair.

The provider was punctual, very professional and thorough. The roof inspection was very detailed , accurate, and provided me with what I needed to know.
