Excellent. Our roof is very large, with a steep pitch and lots of odd angles. Because of this the tear off and applying plywood process took a day or two longer then estimated, but I expected that as I new we had a challenging job. The job went exceptionally well. Great communication with the crew and the office; which was especially important as my mother in law had unexpectedly suffered a massive stroke just prior to the job was to begin. They clean up very well. It was clear they were proud of this difficult hard job. They brought our a drone to video the end product for promotional purposes. I am very very pleased.

They were professional, punctual and cleaned up after the job. I really appreciate how they kept me informed during the process. I highly recommend this company. They're great! Thank you Jose and Teo and to their staff!

Giron gave me a one week window and said they?d probably finish before the week was out ? and they did. They showed up on time, worked long hours with minimal breaks and assigned a dedicated team that works on one project until finished ? not the ?multiple job switch-a-roo? I?ve seen/heard about elsewhere. They gave me a project manager who inspected work daily, assigned an on-site foreman and had a fellow that goes around the house every hour to hour and a half to clean up any debris that had fallen to the ground. The owner called me every day to day and a half to give me a progress report and to assure me that the work would be done on time. At job completion, they came back for a ?walk through? to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction and used a magnetic wand to scan all ground surfaces for nails, etc.; they did all of this before accepting final payment. Showing their versatility, on the first day they noticed that I needed to put plywood sheeting over the entire roof; they ordered the materials and completely installed all that sheet woot plus did a complete re-roofing within the time quote they offered. Pretty remarkable when you think about it. They use Malarkey roofing materials (local Oregon company), and the shingles AND THE LABOR are each guaranteed for 10 years ? and they give written warranties on each component. Shingles are wind tested to 65 mph. Giron completed the work in four and a half days, including the plywood replacement job ? ours is a ?big?, high pitched roof, so they did exceptional work ? even worked on the roof through a 15-20 minute rain ? never complained, never missed a hammer beat. Their workers are very friendly and did everything they could to help us thru this process. Can?t say enough good things about them and hope I am still singing their praises down road ? but I think I will. They are worth the high reviews given them by other users.

I highly recommend this company. From the very first phone call, to the very last encounter --- they remained very professional and provided excellent service. Weather was a factor but they always kept me up-to-date with any changes that would be needed. I really appreciated Jose's promptness and great customer service. He provided answers and solutions to every answer we had. Though we were provided with a lower estimate from a competitor, the interaction we had with Jose sealed the deal - again, his customer service was simply great! The staff who worked on the house were very courteous. They finished the project in 1.5 days, using their time very efficiently. I can't fathom enough what a great company Giron is. I would definitely use them again.

We were very unhappy with our roofing experience with Giron. We received estimates from three companies, but decided to go with Giron based on their good Angie's List reviews. Apparently this was the wrong choice. From the beginning, communication with the company was extremely poor. From beginning to end, the office was always slow to communicate with us. I hadn't heard from anyone after having sent in our deposit over a week and half prior. When I called to see what was going on, the office said they had already scheduled our roofing but no one had told us. This was what it was like every step of the way, and to make matters worse, the office seemed completely disconnected from the crew and never able to give me information about timing or respond to our complaints. When the crew began work, they showed up several hours late on the first day, and then a whole half day late on the second day. The work ended up taking over a week (instead of 3-4 days as originally estimated). We have put a lot of time and energy into our yard and gardens, and asked the crew to be very mindful of the landscaping. This was completely disregarded. At the end of each day, we would find shingles, plastic and nails in our shrubs, on the ground, and crushing several plants. Despite a promise from the office and the crew leader to clean up at the end of each day, we are still picking up things 2 weeks after they completed work, and even after I complained several times. After the first day of work, I found at least 6-8 cigarette butts along our parking strip where their trucks had been, along with water bottles and other trash. With how hot and dry it has been this summer, I was furious that they could be so careless as to leave cigarette butts right next to our parched lawn. Not to mention leaving trash all around. Our estimate ended up being $1,800 less than the final cost of the work. The person who originally did our estimate had left before our work started. No one noticed that our roof would need plywood, which could have easily been discovered in advance, so on the first day of work, we discovered we'd be paying way more than we planned. After work began, we also asked for an estimate on a small part of overhang roof that had sagging wood and may need to be replaced. The next day I noticed they were tearing off that part of the roof and replacing it without ever giving me the requested estimate. They ended up waiving the cost of this work since our original estimate stated that any additional work beyond the estimate would only be done with a signed agreement from us. I can't necessarily comment on the quality of the roof - we'll find out after the rain begins. I did notice that after they were seemingly done with the roof, two of the crew came back the next day and tore off all the venting parts of the roof and re-did them. When I asked why, they said the guys had did it wrong in the first place. This did not make me feel very confident that the rest of the roof was in good shape. I hate to write such a negative review, but this was our experience, and it was not a good one. Hopefully this will help others avoid this type of experience in the future.

Provider crew arrived on schedule, worked fast and carefully removed 25 year old roof. Checked for sheath or water damaged areas, trimmed cedar shingles so new flashing could be installed and laid Titanium UDL underlayment. On top of that they install MaLarkey Legacy shingles. Once the job was done, they used their magnet roller several times to capture stray nails plus gathered up every scrap of material left from the job. They did followup visits and calls to see if everything met my expectations. They promptly addressed one small issue (straightened a trim cut). Their professionalism as top notch as their roofing product. Love being able to use a locally manufactured roofing material that has the extra copper granules to dampen our moss's enthusiasm!

I think they did a good job overall. I really liked the sales/estimator, especially compared to the 5 other companies I interviewed. He was extremely knowledgeable and had clearly installed roofs before. He didn't make me endure an hour long bs sales pitch like so many of the other companies and he talked very clearly about their product and the job. It was a welcome relief honestly and just as important a factor as the price in choosing them. The roofers themselves were all nice and responsive to questions and the phone receptionist was very professional. When they were done with the roof, I had a question about an exposed gap/hole between two roof lines that used to be covered. They explained it was because the old roof had multiple layers, but they didn't have any issues putting extra flashing in place to cover it and caulking it. One roofer also put a hole in an old deck board that had probably been cracked to begin with and again, the roofer had no problems with replacing the entire board. The problem was actually showing up for the job. They were scheduled to show up on Wednesday at 8am. I luckily received a call to let me know they were running late on another job and wouldn't be there until 1pm, so I was able to go to work. They never showed, but they called in the afternoon to apologize and let me know. They came early Thursday and did the tear down with a full crew. But then no one showed up on Friday. I called in the afternoon and they seemed surprised. They said another full crew would be there on Saturday and that they would finish the job in a day. Instead only two people showed up Saturday morning. Now those two people worked extremely hard and did a great job but they worked all day Saturday, Sunday and most of Monday. So a job that was supposed to take 2-3 days took 4 days of work plus 2 days of no show. If you don't mind the punctuality issue, then I'd definitely recommend them based on the price and the quality of work. I gave them an A because quality, price and professionalism are what matter the most to me. But if punctuality and time management are a big concern for you, you might be less satisfied.

The estimator arrived on time. He went up on the roof and spent about 15 minutes looking at the roof and patio. I had the plastic covering on the patio and wanted a regular roof to replace the plastic. I had some leaking on the south side but didn't know if there was any damage or not. The estimator told me I had a lot of damage on the south side of the house and that there was plywood damage. He provided several estimates; south side and patio only, whole roof including patio and metal roof. Estimate for my 1097 square foot house including patio was over $12k. Just the south side and patio was over $6K. Seemed high and compared to the other estimate I received, it was super high. The company I did hire was almost 50% less. And just this week I saw an ad in the Angies List monthly, saying they will do 1750 square feet of shingles for $5K. There was minimal damage to my roof overall, with only 3 sheets of plywood needing to be replaced and none on the south side. At almost 50% more than the other estimate I received, too high a cost for me.

The only problem we had was that they told us they would start the job in about 30 days from the date of the estimate. The next day we came home from a shopping trip and found that there were a dozen men on our roof starting the project. Aside from that, the project went very well and they were a pleasure to work with.

I previously gave this company a positive review, primarily because the house looks great, but having time to closely look at the painting there is a lot of sloppiness, places that were not painted to coverage, paint sprayed in a vegetable bed and on tomato plant and nails and tape on the ground (I have pets) and tape still on the house. I am also being charged for shingles which was not discussed with me and is not in my contract. I do not yet know how the company will respond to my concerns.

The job was estimated at 3 days and the crew worked overtime to get it done in that time frame. Despite the huge amount of material that had to be removed, the crew did a remarkable job of collecting the debris and protecting the landscape plants around the house.

My wife and I were very impressed right from the start. On the first day, Jose (the salesman) climbed all over our roof, photographed everything, explained all of our issues thoroughly, explained the approach we could expected, gave us a projected date (were we to accept their bid), and even fixed some loose shingles we had at the time. Jose even explained that they may not be the cheapest bid we would get (which they weren't). After contacting two other roofers, we settled with Giron and are very glad we did. Prior to the project, two men showed up, climbed up into our then 90+ degree attic, and covered all of our stored items with tarps to protect them from falling debris. When the project started, the crew showed up at 8:00 AM as promised and set to work. The crew, led by Jorge, worked practically non-stop all day until 8:00 PM for 4 days in some of the hottest summer temperatures we have had in Portland for a long time. They usually broke around noon for about an hour for lunch. Other than that, they we on the the job working hard. We have been home owners in this area for over 40 years and this was one of the best crews that have ever worked on projects for us. They were reliable, pleasant to us and our neighbors, considerate of all (particularly our neighbors). They cleaned up every night prior to leaving so that we could move around our yard. Jose was in contact with me daily throughout the job, making sure all was going as expected and soliciting feedback on any aspect of anything that I had questions about. Overall, we could not have asked for a better job. Technically we are not roofing experts, but we expect that when the rains finally return this fall, we will be quite pleased with everything they have done.

From estimate to job completion the project went smoothly on time and on budget. Everyone was easy to work with and they were responsive to our concerns and courteous at all times. Our new roof looks amazing and the gutters/downspouts are a true work of art! The roofer kept us informed continuously and relieved our concerns when he found that our plywood boards are all still in like new condition. The gutter installer came up with unique solutions for linking gutters together instead of numerous downspouts which created a super-clean look that has already received several compliments. Every time we had a question or an issue/change request, Giron personnel/management responded quickly and to our satisfaction. They turned any perceived negative into an immediate positive. A pleasure from start to finish.

Got the usual 3 quotes and they were right in there with the two cheapest. Top roof went swimmingly with a very respectful and polite crew who cleaned up the place well. Originally we thought we could take the front roof back 6 or 8 feet and re-enforce the sagging eaves. Unfortunately the old roof was put together so badly in our 100 year old house there was not choice but to rebuild from scratch. That was the point we were really happy we had hired a full service roofing company that had an in-house framers etc. It took a week to figure out what needed to be done and, of course, solve all the little problems that crop up when you start opening up eaves and wall son a hundred year old house. So Teo Giron gave me a quote to fix the back roof and kept to it despite all the new little challenges that cropped up. Also I want to mention they dealt with the venting issues on all the roofs in a clean and creative way which reassured us the house might stay up another 100 years. As usual with a job like this this there were a few minor problems but Teo and his crew were super responsive to any issues we had and backed up their workmanship 100%. In the end from the roofers to the framers to the gutter guys to the painters we were very pleased with how the work came out in the end and would totally recommend these folks for any job

Went great, all according to plan. It was a bigger job than I imagined and the guys worked hard and did an excellent job. I'm really glad I decided to hire this job out and not attempt myself! Would highly recommend these guys!

They did a very fast job of some very hot days. The roof looks very nice and they cleaned up all the mess. I had to remind them to replace flashing around the chimney and put the air vents back in. As they were leaving, I noticed the air vents on the garage weren't in, so they had to pause and put them in. It was in the contract. I asked them not to smash the big lilies. The ones in front were okay but the big ones, in the back, not blooming yet, were broken in half. I think they will survive but they cost $20 per bulb and there were 6 of them. I had to call the company to have someone come back and apply caulking to the ends of the Louisiana Pacific OSB which will rapidly deteriorate if left exposed to water and air. The care of the OSB was not in the contract (I forgot to mention it).

Very impressed! Friendly, professional and easy to work with. They arrived promptly early in the morning and had 6 men swarming the roof to tear off of 3 layers of old composite shingles. Took them about 2.5 hours to get it all down to the plywood. (roof size approx. 27 squares). They then replaced about 30 boards of plywood on the decking (which wasn't expected, and yet I'm not surprised. This roof has been neglected for years and was leaking.) Installed new vents (we didn't have enough) Replaced all flashing. Didn't have flashing size to fit our old metal chimneys, so custom ordered new flashing for us. Malarkey Highlander shingles installed. Roof looks fabulous! Crew was very polite, hard working and they cleaned up great. Roofing was done in 1-1/2 days. Waited 1 day more for the custom-made chimney flash to be made, then it was completely done! Our property is a condo complex. This was the first of 5 buildings we're re-roofing, doing one building per year until all are done. Definitely want to use Giron for the remaining 4 buildings. The price is shocking to our condo owners who get to pay for it, but worth it! Good shingles are worthless if they're not installed properly. Can't beat Giron's 10-year labor warranty on top of the mfg warranty.

We had a tiny little leak in our home above one of our rear sliding doors and called several contractors to inspect and quote a repair of this leak. Victor came out to the home and walked me around our house and roof and was able to locate the source of the leak. He also pointed out other areas of the roof that needed to be repaired. Which is the work that was originally quoted. During the repair several additional items were discovered and I appreciated the fact that the repair person and later the owner, Teo Giron, showed us where all these problems occurred -- nails in the valleys, the cut of the existing shingles was incorrect, the way in which the shingles were laid, etc. -- and made it readily apparent how these items were creating risk of future rot and leaks. As a result of this work and subsequent discussions, we decided to reroof the house -- discussed in a separate review. The actual price paid for the completed repairs was $1,500 as we would have to rip out some of the repairs to redo the roof. All the repairs were completed and we really did owe the full amount, but Giron was nice enough work with us on pricing. I was really impressed with: The responsiveness of Giron Construction, they responded to all our calls within 1 day and their receptionist was always very helpful and cheerful. It seems minor but it goes along way to calm concerns when you can hear the smile of the person on the other end of the phone. The quality of the work by the repair person, he worked very hard, frequently finishing his day after 6 PM, and was always open to having me see what he was doing. You could visibly see the improvements and the quality of his repair as he completed the work. Their professionalism was outstanding as they always straightened up or cleaned up at the end of the day. The repair person was always courteous and friendly. Giron Construction will always be on my list of contractors to contact.

Great project, good contractor. Teo was easy to work with and the crew was on time, worked hard, and did good work. I recommend them completely. They worked around an insulation contractor i used that sucked, and helped me to keep them inline, and advise me of their poor work when i was away from the project. If you have preferences for materials or constructionmethods, let them know, and they'll accommodate you. In the i'll know that spruce likes to move a little bit, and push for different materials on long runs, and ask for some thicker material on the fascia behind the gutters. Thanks Giron Construction!

I am tremendously pleased with the entire process of my new roof. all my questions and concerns were answered . The job was completed in about 4 days and came in exactly on budget. And no any damage during the tear down of the old roof. The crew was very polite and professional, and the clean up was beautiful! I would highly recommend Giron Roofing to our neighbors and friends.

The crew arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Work proceeded through what turned out to be above 90 degree weather. It was necessary for the crew to return the next day (which I anticipated) There was thorough cleanup of the work-site upon completion of the project. The new patio covering looks wonderful! Proper repairs were made. I was impressed by the professional courteous and diligent work carried out by Lucas and Eduardo in the extremely hot weather!

HaThey were timely, reasonable and fair when the job turned out to be more than any of us anticipated. The quality of work was very good and they really seemed to care about making sure we were very happy with every step of the process.
