We chose FineLine Remodeling to update our 1965 galley kitchen and we are so thankful that we made that choice! It was originally a very closed, cramped and dark space and what we got was open bright and roomy!! Not a square inch went untouched. We had to jack up the home and sink a footing in the basement to get the sag out of the room. They are so professional, kind, flexible and easy to work with. We are constantly amazed at how beautiful our kitchen looks now!!! THANK YOU PHIL, JEREMY, JEFF & CREW!! I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

The team was, to a person, professional, efficient, and thorough. They left the worksite as clean as possible every day, and were very respectful about physical distancing and masks. We enjoyed having their help!
Phil has his sons working for him as well as subs for plumbing and electrical. They all were very professional and friendly and I felt very comfortable having them in my home, except for Jack the electrician. He seemed slimy and arrogant. The work is very tight and exact, especially the tile and custom cabinetry which was done by local guy in Estacada. Wonderful people who do exceptional work. Make sure to ask lots of questions on how you can help them stay on schedule, if that is important.
Description of Work: We used Fineline to update our kitchen, laundry room and master bath. Phil, the owner, is very professional and has an amazing ability to coordinate a number of projects at one time, and we learned that schedules are just starting points and you deal with surprises along the way.
We solicited a LOT of bids for our kitchen remodel. We REALLY REALLY wanted to keep the total cost under $30k (average kitchen remodels are now $50-60k according to every contractor we spoke with). Working with IKEA and Kitchen Helpers / FineLine allowed us to meet our budget - and that was with all cabinets and new appliances as well. Phil came out for the estimate and he was clear about his pricing and what was included. He made several helpful suggestions. Once we made the down payment and got on the calendar - he kept to schedule. His team was courteous, knowledgable, and CLEAN! Doing a remodel is just a mess - especially when dry wall is involved. But his team clearly did as much as they could to contain the dust and debris and cleaned up at the end of each day. A remodel also requires some on the spot decisions that you just can't completely anticipate. I was on site for most of this but often needed to try to bring my partner up-to-speed on the phone so that we could reach consensus on this. We ended up making some minor changes to the original design and because we understood what was minor and what was major - they worked with us on all of this and it all resulted in a much better design. These guys (yes, all guys - sigh) were all hard workers and they do kitchens all of the time and their understanding of how to sequence the work proved that. They subcontract with a plumber and electrical company - and I would use them again as well. Every person we had contact with was top notch.
Description of Work: FineLine does the construction part of the IKEA Kitchen Helpers service. For us this meant full demo of the kitchen, removing a wall (including adding structural support in the basement), replacing a ceiling, running a gas line, replacing door and window trim, installing all appliances including an island vent hood, repairing floor tiles where the footprint changed, running some new electrical, rebooking up all of the new plumbing, etc.

Description of Work: We used Fine Line as a subcontractor through The Kitchen Helpers (through IKEA). While we had some problems with the Kitchen Helper side of things, our dealings with Phil and his crew from Fine Line were exceptional. They came when they said they'd come, they were responsive to our concerns, they communicated well. We were very, very happy with their work.

Description of Work: Hired based on a Deal from Angie's List. Work was performed in the morning while I was at work. Best I can tell is they sprinkled moss remover at the roofline with hopes that the rain would carry it down. Maybe that's standard procedure but can attest that two months later, most of the moss is still alive. I left voicemail asking if this was the standard application process but they didn't return my call. | |I will probably avoid using Deals in the future. My thought is that a company will be giving you less than 100% service to make up whatever money they are losing to attract customers.

Description of Work: Fineline construction did an excellent job on our Kitchen. They were timely, professional and kept us informed on every step of the process. Only a few hiccups in the ordering of materials, but Phil took charge and solved the problems quickly. They were very valuable in suggesting backsplash and flooring options and helped us find the right places to look to make our final decisions. I would recommend them to anyone doing a remodel as my first and only choice.
