I had gotten several other estimates and theirs was right in the middle. I liked everything about them. I kept asking them about my rebate after the job was complete and was finally able to get it, but it took some tenacity on my part. This was not really Energy Comfort's issue (it was the IRS), they were very helpful trying to get me all of the correct paperwork and whatnot.

This was an energy efficiency job through Clean Energy Works Oregon on our 1921 bungalow. We got good advice on what upgrades we needed and implemented all of them. The CEWO program requires all their contractors to be knowledgable in energy efficiency so you have some security right there.
ECC employees show up on time, are very industrious and pleasant to be around, which I value since my office is at home. Lowes fouled up the door order and so ECC had to install twice with no complaints whatsoever. The effort to keep everything clean (tarped) and shrubs covered, etc was amazing. The only thing I would hesitate hiring for is where very exacting finish work is required such as perfection carpentry. They are trustworthy and definitely made our house warmer and better; our heating bills are 30% less already. They even made our crawl spaces easily accessible which was not in the estimate. Rehooked up the door alarm; all with efficiency. The only reason I gave a B for quality was little finish work nicks, etc. If there was a B+ or A- rating, I would have used that.
